Wizard World Reno Attendees to Receive The Walking Dead #1 Cover By Jonboy Meyer

The Walking Dead Jonboy MeyersWizard World, Inc. and Skybound have announced that ‘Spawn’ artist Jonboy Meyers has drawn the 23th and final in a yearlong series of Limited Edition Exclusive Variant Covers of The Walking Dead #1 comic, to be provided free to all full-price attendees at Wizard World Comic Con Reno, November 20-22.

The exclusive The Walking Dead #1 edition will be produced in extremely limited quantities and is available at registration to fans at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center only while supplies last. VIP attendees will receive an additional black & white sketch version of the comic.

Jonboy Meyers is an illustrator and concept designer working in the animation, video games and comic books. Meyers is currently the artist on Image Comic’s SPAWN with Todd McFarlane.

Some of Meyers’ past credits include: Black Dynamite, Thor , Generator Rex (animation), Supergirl , Huntress, She Hulk , Hulk, Spider-Man , Danger Girl, Justice League of America , X-Men (comic books), League of Legends , MotorStorm Apocalypse (video games), World of Warcraft TCG (illustration).

“The Walking Dead” star on the Wizard World Comic Con Reno celebrity roster is Tovah Feldshuh. Other top guests include Kevin Smith (photo ops and VIP panel only), the Dynamic Duo of Adam West and Burt Ward, Mena Suvari, Jodie Sweetin, Mark Pellegrino, Erik Estrada, Adrian Paul, Brent Spiner and Barry Bostwick.

In addition to Meyers, Artist Alley in Reno will feature Neal Adams, Greg Horn, Tom Cook, John Beatty, Michael Golden, Jim Shooter, Phil Ortiz, Mike Zeck and more.

Wizard World Reno show hours are Friday, November 6, 3-8 p.m.; Saturday, November 7, 10 a.m.-7 p.m.; Sunday, November 8, 11 a.m.-5 p.m.

Marvel Comics & Wizard World Reveal Superior Iron Man #1 Exclusive Variant

Superior Iron Man #1 Exclusive VariantMarvel Comics and Wizard World, Inc. have revealed the latest and final edition of the 2014 series of exclusive variant covers of the best Marvel titles with the unveiling of Superior Iron Man #1, drawn by noted Canadian artist Ty Templeton. VIP attendees at the inaugural Wizard World Reno Comic Con, November 21-23 at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center, will receive a free copy of the limited-edition book at registration.

Templeton is scheduled to be on site at the event to sign copies of Superior Iron Man #1 (autograph fees may apply). Leading professional comic grader CGC will also be on hand to accept books for grading and Signature Series.

The exclusive version of Superior Iron Man #1 will be limited to 3,000 copies and provided free at registration to all Wizard World Reno Comic Con VIP attendees, including any celebrity VIP packages.

A newly-minted member of the Canadian Comic Book Creator Hall of Fame, Templeton has worked on such characters as Batman, Superman, Spider-Man, The Simpsons, the Avengers, among many others. The Shuster Award-winning and Eisner Award-nominated writer and artist has hundreds of credits, including his own graphic novel, Bigg Time and cult favorite Stig’s Inferno.

Reedus, Staite and Campbell will appear on Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 22-23; Shatner will attend on Friday evening and Saturday, Nov. 21-22; the WWE stars will attend on Saturday; Williams, West and Ward are scheduled for all three days.

Other notables scheduled include The Walking Dead stars Michael Rooker, Andrew J. West, Jon Bernthal and Scott Wilson, Alan Tudyk, Eliza Dushku, Sean Astin, Lou Ferrigno, Jason David Frank, Kevin Sorbo, Walter Koenig, Sara Underwood, and the Boondock Saints duo of Sean Patrick Flanery and David Della Rocco.

Wizard World Comic Con events bring together thousands of fans of all ages to celebrate the best in pop-fi, pop culture, movies, graphic novels, cosplay, comics, toys, video gaming, television, sci-fi, gaming, original art, collectibles, contests and more. Wizard World Reno Comic Con show hours are Friday, Nov. 21, 3-8 p.m.; Saturday, Nov. 22, 10 a.m.-7 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 23, 11 a.m.-5 p.m.

Reno Comic Con is also the place for cosplay, with fans young and old showing off their best costumes throughout the event. Fans dressed as every imaginable character – and some never before dreamed – will roam the convention floor.
