Luana Vecchio’s Universal Monsters: The Bride of Frankenstein Lives Connecting Covers Revealed

Skybound, Image Comics, and Universal Products & Experiences have revealed Luana Vecchio‘s connecting covers for Universal Monsters: The Bride of Frankenstein Lives. The new four-issue comic book series from the Eisner-Award winning writer Kelly Thompson and her longtime creative collaborator, Eisner-Award nominated artist Mattia De Iulis debuts in comic book ships on October 28, 2026. 

Luana Vecchio’s beautifully illustrated connecting cover series comes together to form one continuous piece of artwork, creating a haunting, gothic portrait of the Universal Monsters icon across all four issues of Universal Monsters: The Bride of Frankenstein Lives.

HERE COMES THE BRIDE…Kelly Thompson and Mattia De Iulis reunite once again to deliver the most haunting new horror series of the year. Born in the heart of a thunderstorm, made of stolen flesh, electricity, and monstrous desperation, The Bride lives! 

With no memory of her past or understanding of what she is, The Bride took her first steps into the world and was…displeased. Now, she must discover where and who she came from and begin what every living thing begins…the process of staying alive.

Universal Monsters: Frankenstein Sparks Back to Life in New Black & White Edition

Skybound Entertainment and Universal Products & Experiences have announced the remastered release of Universal Monsters: Frankenstein #1 (of 2), the limited comic book series from award-winning artist/writer Michael Walsh. Universal Monsters: Frankenstein brings the cry of “It’s alive!” as Walsh returns to present his jaw-dropping vision of the seminal horror classic remastered in stunning black & white this October.   

Originally released as a four-issue limited series, this two-issue double feature tells the shocking story behind one of the body parts used to create the unforgettable monster in the original film.  

Universal Monsters: Frankenstein follows Dr. Henry Frankenstein as he begins his unholy quest to create life by robbing the grave of a decorated police officer to find necessary parts, specifically a strong pair of hands. But little does he know that the corpse has a son who is mourning a father – and that this young boy will forever change Frankenstein’s life.

The limited series from the superstar team of writer Joshua Williamson and artist Leomacs debuts in comic book shops on June 24, 2026. 

The themed covers by Maria Wolf provides readers a glimpse at the pure terror of the Wolf Man and will be available as 1:10 incentive variants across all four issues of the series.
