Udon announces Persona 5: Mementos Mission Volume 1 Manga

The Persona 5: Mementos Mission manga series is ready to steal your heart!  Following the success of the highly popular Persona 3 and Persona 4 manga series, UDON Entertainment has announced the release of Persona 5: Mementos Mission Volume1. A side adventure to the ATLUS video game, this all-new, 3-volume manga mystery series features the cast of Persona 5 and is written and illustrated by Rokuro Saito. The attempted poisoning of an influential CEO, suspicious happenings at a local doctor’s clinic, sketchy job requests at a back-street military shop: follow high schooler and phantom thieves leader Ren Amamiya, AKA Joker, as he tackles a series of mysterious incidents together with his trustworthy friends and the famous high school detective, Goro Akechi!

Udon to Release Steins;Gate Manga

Get ready Steins;Gate fans! UDON Entertainment has announced the return of the heroes of Steins;Gate for a new time-altering story! Set in an alternate world where the Future Gadget Lab members failed in their original mission, can one final chance lead to a happy ending? Picture it: November 2020, the Beta World Line… In this world, Rintaro Okabe has given up. After suffering through indescribable grief and untold heartbreak, he gives up on saving the girl he loves. But one day, he meets her again, just not as he knew her. From this chance encounter, the gears of fate would begin to turn once more.

Based on the Steins;Gate 0 visual novel and featuring art by Taka Himeno, the Steins;Gate 0 series will be released in three volumes, each collecting two of the original Japanese books in an oversized manga format. Andrew “Steiner” Hodgson, the original Steins;Gate visual novel translator, will provide the translation for the new manga volumes. UDON will also release a new, revised edition of the classic Steins;Gate manga alongside this new series!

Mega Man Gets an “Official Complete Works” to Celebrate 30 Years

The iconic Mega Man video game franchise continues to celebrate its 30th anniversary throughout 2018 with the recently released Mega Man X: Legacy Collection, a new animated series – Mega Man: Fully Charged – premiering in August, and all-new game – Mega Man 11 – hitting consoles in October. UDON is likewise giving the blue bomber some special birthday treatment with prestigious new hardcover editions of two previously sold-out Mega Man art books.

Mega Man: Official Complete Works Hardcover Edition is the ultimate collection of classic Mega Man game covers, character art, enemy & boss designs, rough concepts, tribute pieces, and much more. Udon Launches Otherworldly Izakaya Nobu in September 2018

A Japanese style pub called “Nobu” exists in a back alley of the fictional medieval European city of Eiteriach. When the citizens of this strange world sit down to enjoy some unfamiliar Japanese cuisine, their troubles simply melt away… With over 900,000 copies already in print in Japan, the Otherworldly Izakaya Nobu manga series hits North American shelves in September 2018 through UDON Entertainment.

The series is written by Natsuya Semikawa and illustrated by Virginia Nitouhei. Each volume of this delightful manga is packed with tidbits about both Japanese and German cuisine, for which publisher UDON Entertainment have included a hearty helping of footnotes for fervent foodies.

The manga arrives hot on the heels of the anime adaptation, Isekai Izakaya: Koto Aitheria no Izakaya Nobu, which will be simulcast worldwide via Bandai Channel, Amazon Video, and Hulu in April 2018. The anime series is produced by Sunrise, and directed by Katsumi Ono.

Otherworldly Izakaya Nobu Vol.1 arrives in stores everywhere September 2018. Subsequent volumes of the series will be published every two months. The 164 page first volume will retail for $12.99.

Mega Man Mastermix #1 Launches Quarterly this January

UDON is bringing the original Blue Bomber back to comic shop shelves with Mega Man Mastermix – a quarterly, 80-page comic series presenting Hitoshi Ariga’s classic Mega Man stories in color for the first time. Featuring colors by Josh Perez, the series launches in January 2018, and joins the celebration of the video game icon’s 30th anniversary!

The Birth of Mega Man! In a world where humans and robots live and work together, six powerful robots have suddenly turned against their programming and set their sights on causing chaos and destruction! Only one heroic robot stands in their path – Mega Man, the greatest creation of Dr. Light!

Mega Man Mastermix #1 sports two standard covers — CVR A by Hitoshi Ariga and Cover B by Jeffrey “Chamba” Cruz ( promotional artist for Capcom’s Mega Man Legacy Collection 1 and 2). Also available is a Blank Sketch cover (Cover C), and a Retailer Incentive cover (Cover D) by Rob “Robaato” Porter which homages a classic comic cover from the 1980’s.

Two exclusive covers will also be produced for the issue. The first is for Fried Pie Comics, and features Mega Man battling the enormous Yellow Devil robot (illustrated by Jeffrey “Chamba” Cruz). UDON Entertainment’s Robotech Visual Archive: The Macross Saga

Robotech is a sweeping science-fiction anime epic in which humans use a vast arsenal of transforming robotic mecha to defend the Earth against alien domination. The franchise has captivated fans for over 30 years, and is widely credited with popularizing anime around the world. Now, UDON Entertainment has teamed up with Harmony Gold to produce Robotech Visual Archive: The Macross Saga – the ultimate collection of artwork assembled from Robotech’s first and most iconic era.

This 248-page hardcover tome gathers classic mecha designs, dynamic character artwork, early roughs, key art, storyboards, character profiles, and more. Mecha designs are accompanied by detailed tech specs and armament info, as well as text write ups.  Additional material in the book includes a complete episode guide, an interview with Macross chief director Noboru Ishiguro, and a unique essay by Robotech producer Carl Macek on the development of the Robotech property and its place in anime history.

This book will be the first in a series of Robotech art books, with future volumes covering The Masters and The New Generation eras, as well as new material created to expand the Robotech universe for international audiences. Robotech Visual Archive: The Macross Saga arrives in stores everywhere December 2017 and will retail for $44.99.

The Kings of Shadaloo Return in a Street Fighter One-Shot Comic

This December evil takes center stage, as UDON presents the Street Fighter: Shadaloo Special #1! This one-shot comic features four short stories, previously only available in UDON’s hardcover Street Fighter collections.

This villainous collection of rare tales includes two stories by writer Ken Siu-Chong and artist Hanzo Steinbach, and two stories both written and drawn by Omar Dogan. Balrog and Vega fight as only kings can! Juri and Crimson Viper hunt Decapre! Cammy teams up with Delta Red against Shadaloo, and the poisonous F.A.N.G causes mayhem!

Street Fighter: Shadaloo Special #1 sports two standard covers by Hanzo Steinbach (CVR A) and Ryan Kinnaird (CVR B). Also available in comic shops is a special Incentive CVR C by artist Panzer, which homages an x-citing comic cover from the 1990’s.

UDON is also producing its own online exclusive variant to the one-shot, showcasing the former Shadaloo operative turned MI6 agent – Cammy! This limited cover, illustrated by painter Warren Louw, is available for pre-order now exclusively through FocusAttack.com. Two versions are available – Cammy in her iconic Delta Red colors, and the EXTRA-limited (only 250 copies available!) Delta Blue version.

Ménage À 3 To Be Collected in Print by Udon Entertainment

The popular web-comic Ménage À 3 has been entertaining and titillating online readers for nearly ten years. Now, the Joe Shuster Award-nominated series will be collected in print form by UDON Entertainment starting with Ménage À 3 Volume 1 in February.

Produced by artist Gisèle Lagacé and co-writer David Lumsdon, Ménage À 3 follows the lives of a 29-year-old-virgin comic book geek and his two way-hotter-than-he-is roommates. Gary, Didi, and Zii’s tight-as-a-sandwich Montreal apartment is the cramped stage for sexy hi-jinks, awkward moments, and pretty much everybody trying to bonk, shag, or nuzzle with everyone else!

Series creator Gisèle Lagacé has lent her sequential art talents to the likes of Archie Comics, Betty Boop, and Jem and the Holograms. She’s also a sought-after cover artist whose work has graced titles including Gwenpool, Vampirella, Street Fighter, and more. Gisèle has been in the web-comics game since 2000, and has grown Ménage À 3 into Pixie Trix Comix – a web-comic network that includes multiple ongoing series set in the MA3 universe and beyond.

Ménage À 3 Volume 1 collects the first two years of the web-comic – that’s over 300 installments. Also included are print-exclusive bonus stories, plus special guest artist strips. The book arrives in stores everywhere February 2018.
