The New Mutants Get a New Release Date

New Mutants

Will we finally get to see The New Mutants on the big screen? Disney is sticking to theaters for the release of the seemingly cursed film and has announced it’ll get a release on August 28. The film has had a string of delays, the latest due to COVID-19.

The movie was initially to be released April 2018 and then was pushed to February 2019. Then it got moved to August 2019. Then Disney bought Fox and it was moved again to April 3, 2020. Then COVID-19 hit.

The film is the last of the Fox produced X-Men films and follows the bomb that was X-Men: Dark Phoenix.

The New Mutants was rumored to be released digitally. First rumors swirled it’d debut on Hulu and at one point showed up on Amazon for pre-order.

But… will theaters even be open in August? Las Vegas needs to have a betting line as to when, and how, this film will be released.
