Archon Studio Opens Preorders for StarCraft: Tabletop Miniatures Game

The preorders for the StarCraft: Tabletop Miniatures Game from Archon Studio are now officially open. Fans can secure their copy through the game’s official website at starcraft-tmg.com, through archon-studio.com, and via the official Gamefound preorder page. Bringing the iconic real-time strategy experience to the tabletop, the game introduces mechanics designed for fast, tactical play and allows players to command adaptable Terran armies, elite Protoss forces, or endless Zerg swarms in a new miniatures-based format.

Designed for 2 players, with a playtime of 60–120 minutes and a recommended age of 14+, StarCraft: Tabletop Miniatures Game is built to capture the speed and tactical depth that have defined StarCraft for decades. With organized play support, high-detail HIPS miniatures produced in-house, and gameplay created by long-time fans of the franchise, the game aims to deliver an authentic StarCraft experience on the tabletop.

Preorder-Exclusive Founders Edition Starter Sets

The preorders include exclusive Founders Edition Starter Sets, available only during the preorder period. These special editions are produced in one limited print run based on preorder demand and will never be reprinted once the preorder campaign ends.

Each Founders Edition Starter Set is marked with a special tag and bundles together miniatures and content at a price that is significantly lower than the cost of purchasing comparable contents separately later on.

Players who preorder through the official preorder channels will also benefit from access to priority delivery, and lower shipping costs compared to post-campaign orders.

Available Preorder Products

At launch, the preorder campaign will feature the StarCraft Two Player Starter Set Founders Edition and the StarCraft Protoss Starter Set Founders Edition, alongside a broader range of Wave 1 expansion products across Terran, Protoss, Zerg, hero, and terrain categories.

Additional Wave 1 products will include faction expansion sets, hero expansion sets, and terrain.

StarCraft is coming to the tabletop with a miniatures game from Archon Studio

Video games are a hot property right now with numerous adaptations coming to the tabletop. Halo, Elden Ring, Dark Souls, and more have seen releases in recent years. Archon Studio has announced a partnership with Blizzard Entertainment to bring StarCraft to tabletop gaming. The collaboration begins with a tabletop miniatures game that will launch in 2026 followed by board games in 2027.

StarCraft is a real-time strategy video game released by Blizzard Entertainment with the first game in the series making its debut in 1998. StarCraft has had a few games released for the tabletop with StarCraft: The Board Game and its “Brood War” expansion becoming grail games for many.

In the StarCraft Tabletop Miniatures Game, players will command their favorite factions – Terran, Zerg, and Protoss – in tactical battles that stays true to the classic RTS game.

This is one to keep an eye on and should be interesting.

The Zerg Brood Lord Replica is the next ship in Dark Horse Direct’s Starcraft line

The Starcraft Universe is Explored in a New Comic Miniseries from Dark Horse and Blizzard

Dark Horse and Blizzard Entertainment have announced a new four-issue comic series: StarCraft: Scavengers. This comic series is the latest addition to Dark Horse and Blizzard Entertainment’s line of publications, preceded by The Art of Overwatch, Overwatch Anthology: Volume 1, and World of Warcraft Chronicle (volumes I and II).

Writer Jody Houser and artist Gabriel Guzmán join forces for StarCraft: Scavengers, a new comic series further exploring the expansive universe of Blizzard’s acclaimed science-fiction real-time strategy game series. In StarCraft: Scavengers, a group of terrans hopes to pull off the job of their lifetimes: pillaging a derelict protoss ship in a decaying orbit above an uninhabited planet. The scavengers’ dangerous mission is seen from the point of view of a young, inexperienced engineer. The team must scavenge the ship’s priceless tech before it burns up in the planet’s atmosphere, but can they beat the clock and avoid being busted by Dominion police forces?

Originally released by Blizzard Entertainment in 1998, StarCraft is a real-time strategy game that chronicles the interstellar war between three galactic species: the protoss, the zerg, and the terrans.
