Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse gets a new trailer

Miles Morales returns for the next chapter of the Oscar-winning Spider-Verse saga, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. After reuniting with Gwen Stacy, Brooklyn’s full-time, friendly neighborhood Spider-Man is catapulted across the Multiverse, where he encounters a team of Spider-People charged with protecting its very existence. But when the heroes clash on how to handle a new threat, Miles finds himself pitted against the other Spiders and must redefine what it means to be a hero so he can save the people he loves most.

The next Spider-Man movie is coming to theaters June 2023.

The Mitchells vs. the Machines is coming to digital, Blu-ray, and DVD on December 14.

An old school father and his plugged-in, filmmaker daughter struggle to relate as their family embarks on a road trip to her new college. Their drive is interrupted by a machine apocalypse that threatens to tear these unlikely heroes apart unless they can find a way to join forces and save humanity.

The Mitchells vs. the Machines is directed by Mike Rianda and co-directed by Jeff Rowe with a story by Rianda and Rowe. It’s produced by Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, and Kurt Albrecht and executive producers include Will Allegra and Louis Koo Tin Lok. The cast features Danny McBride, Abbi Jacobson, Maya Rudolph, Mike Rianda, Eric Andre and Olivia Colman.

Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness Comes to Blu-ray and DVD in December

Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness

In 2006, American federal agent Leon S. Kennedy is invited to the White House to investigate a hacking incident. During the investigation, he encounters a horde of zombies in a mysterious attack against the President. Meanwhile, TerraSave staff member Claire Redfield uncovers a strange image drawn by a young boy in a country she visited. Haunted by this drawing, which appears to be of a victim of viral infection, Claire starts her own investigation. Claire visits the White House and has a chance reunion with Leon. Together, Leon and Claire investigate the connection between the White House attack and strange drawing and uncover a threat that will shake the nation to its very core.

Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness features a 30-minute making of special feature. It comes to Blu-ray and DVD on December 21.

The film is written by Shogo Mutoh and Eiichiro Hasumi, and directed by Eiichiro Hasumi. It stars Nick Apostolides, Stephanie Panisello, Ray Chase, and Jona Xiao.

Issa Rae Enters the Spider-Verse as Mystery Character

Issa Rae has joined the cast of the Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse sequel. She’ll voice an unknown character in the animated film from Sony Pictures Animation.

Issa Rae is a writer, actress, and producer known for projects such as Insecure, A Black Lady Sketch Show, The Lovebirds, and The Hate U Give.

Rae is the first addition to the cast that includes Shameik Moore as Miles Morales, aka Spider-Man, and Hailee Steinfeld as Spider-Gwen.

The plot of the film is unknown but it’s again expected to feature numerous versions of characters from the Spider-Man universe. Rae is rumored to be joining the cast as Jessica Drew, aka Spider-Woman.

Phil Lord and Chris Miller will be the credited writers on the project along with David Callaham. Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers and Justin K. Thompson are directing the sequel.

The film is currently expected to be released on October 7, 2022. It was pushed back from April of the same year.

The original Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse was a massive hit and critically praised. It won the Oscar for “best animated film”.

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse

A trio of directors will tackle the sequel to the hit Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. Sony Pictures Animation has tapped Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers, and Justin K. Thompson for the difficult task.

Dos Santos had been previously reported as directing the film but all three have been working on the project from the start.

Phil Lord, Chris Miller, Amy Pascal, Avi Arad and Christina Steinberg are returning to produce the project. Alonzo Ruvalcaba co-producing. “Spider-Verse” director Peter Ramsey will executive produce, along with Aditya Sood.

David Callaham, Lord, and Miller are all credited as screenwriters.

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse was a hit earning $373.5 million worldwide and won an Oscar for the best-animated feature. The film focused on Miles Morales bringing together various Spider-Man from around the multiverse. The sequel is expected to repeat that with even more added.

The film is scheduled to come to theaters on October 7, 2022.

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse Is Getting a Sequel in 2022

The award-winning Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is getting a sequel and release date. The anticipated animated film comes to theaters on April 8, 2022.

Sony Pictures Animation is again putting together the film which won an Academy Award for “Best Animated Film.”

Phil Lord and Christopher Miller return to bring their vision for the next adventure of Miles Morales. The original film was directed by Bob Persichetti, Peter Ramsey, and Rodney Rothman based on a screenplay by Phil Lord.

The voice cast of the original Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse includes Shameik Moore as Miles Morales, Jake Johnson as Peter Parker, Liev Schreiber as Kingpin, Hailee Steinfeld as Spider-Gwen, Nicolas Cage as Spider-Man Noir, John Mulaney as Spider-Ham, Kimiko Glenn as Peni Parker, Mahershala Ali as Aaron, Brian Tyree Henry as Jefferson, Luna Lauren Velez as Rio, Lily Tomlin (“Grace and Frankie”) as Aunt May, and Oscar Isaac as Miguel O’Hara/Spider-Man 2099.

Lion Forge Animation and Sony Pictures Animation Team Up for Hair Love

Hair Love, a heartfelt animated short film about an African American father learning to do his daughter’s hair for the first time, will be making its theatrical debut on August 14th, 2019 with The Angry Birds Movie 2, from Sony Pictures Animation, Columbia Pictures, and Rovio Animation.

Directed by Matthew A. Cherry (executive producer, “BlacKkKlansman”), Everett Downing Jr. (animator, “Up,” “WALL·E”), and Bruce W. Smith (creator, “The Proud Family,” animator, “The Princess and the Frog”), Hair Love is a collaboration with Sony Pictures Animation that was launched as a Kickstarter campaign in 2017 with a fundraising goal of $75,000. Strong support led to the campaign amassing nearly $300,000, making it the most highly-funded short film campaign in Kickstarter history.

The short’s co-executive producers include Jordan Peele, Andrew Hawkins, Harrison Barnes, Yara and Keri Shahidi. The short’s associate producers include N’Dambi Gillespie, Gabrielle Union-Wade & Dwayne Wade Jr., Gabourey Sidibe, Stephanie Fredric and Claude Kelly.

Physical production of Hair Love has taken place at the Los Angeles-based animation studio, Six Point Harness (“Guava Island”).

The picture book Hair Love was released by Kokila Books/Penguin Random House releasing on May 14, 2019, and became a New York Times Bestseller.

Miles Morales is Swinging into Sony’s Animated Spider-Man Film

Being released December 21, 2018, the biggest revelation is that the film will star Miles Morales the popular Spider-Man who recently joined the main Spider-Man universe and was the subject of a petition to take the lead in Sony’s latest live action reboot for the character.
