It’s bi-week! Time to talk about She-ra and the Princesses of Power. What with all the queer teen heroes, and their queer parents, and their bi-pride flag colored hologram mentors and freedom fighting unicorns. Mey Rude returns for her second dive into the Dreamworks animated series. Mey is a queer, trans and fat Latina living in LA where she works as a trans consultant and a culture and entertainment writer for Out.com. She loves nerds, Judy Hopps and talking about her feelings.

And joining for the first time is Samantha Puc!

Samantha Puc is an essayist and culture critic who frequently writes about LGBTQ and fat characters in fiction. She is the managing editor at The Beat, as well as the co-creator and editor-in-chief of Fatventure Mag, an outdoors zine for fat folx who are into being active, but not into toxic weight-loss culture. She lives in Montana with her partner and cats.

SDCC 2019: She-Ra and the Princesses of Power Heads to SDCC for the Honor of Grayskull!

For the honor of Grayskull! DreamWorks Animation is bringing its critically acclaimed Netflix original series She-Ra and the Princesses of Power to San Diego Comic-Con 2019 with a host of activities, including a jam-packed panel featuring executive producer Noelle Stevenson, Aimee Carrero (Adora/She-Ra), Karen Fukuhara (Glimmer), Marcus Scribner (Bow), and Lauren Ash (Scorpia) on Friday, July 19.

DreamWorks She-Ra and the Princesses of Power will be joining Her Universe and Hot Topic as a presenting sponsor for this year’s highly anticipated, 6th annual Her Universe Fashion Show at San Diego Comic-Con on Thursday, July 18th at 6PM in the Harbor Ballroom at the Manchester Grand Hyatt Hotel. Celebrated as one of the must-see events at SDCC, fandom meets fashion as “geek couture” once again hits the runway in this thrilling competition where 24 fashion designers compete for the opportunity to design a fashion collection with leading Fangirl Fashion brand, Her Universe, for Hot Topic. At this interactive show, hosted by actress and Her Universe Founder Ashley Eckstein, the audience will choose one of the winners. Inspired by DreamWorks She-Ra and the Princesses of Power, the theme for this year’s show is the “Power of Fashion.” Her Universe, will also debut new She-Ra designs that will be available at Her Universe booth #1321 and Comic-Con fans will be the first to be able to purchase these limited edition looks!

NYCC 2018: DreamWorks Unveils She-Ra and the Princesses of Power Full Season 1 Trailer

Today, during a packed panel at New York Comic Con, DreamWorks Animation Television debuted the full trailer for the highly anticipated Netflix original series She-Ra and The Princesses of Power with panelists executive producer Noelle Stevenson (Nimona, Lumberjanes), Aimee Carrero (voice of Adora/She-Ra), Karen Fukuhara (voice of Glimmer), Marcus Scribner (voice of Bow) and moderator Krutika Malikarjuna, Features Editor for TV Guide. Fans were treated to an expanded first look at the series, including clips highlighting several characters from season one including  Adora/She-Ra, Glimmer, Bow, Entrapta, Mermista, and Perfuma among many others. The audience also got a first look inside the evil Horde with clips introducing Hordak and Shadow Weaver.

Along the way, she finds a new family in the Rebellion as she unites a group of magical princesses in the ultimate fight against evil.

In addition to the panels, DreamWorks is currently offering an immersive fan experience inspired by the imaginative world of the highly-anticipated series She-Ra and the Princesses of Power at Booth # 502. The activation includes a larger-than-life She-Ra statue, as well as interactive photo opportunities that will transport guests straight to Etheria, the Whispering Woods and Hordak’s lair. She-Ra and the Princesses of Power Gets a Teaser Trailer

Dreamworks Animation has released the first teaser trailer for the new She-Ra cartoon, She-Ra and the Princesses of Power.

The new animated series is executive produced by Noelle Stevenson and Chuck Austin and centers around Adora, a young girl who discovers a magical sword that transforms her into the mythical warrior pricess She-Ra.

The series premieres on Netflix on November 16.
