NYCC 2013: Marvel Wants YOU To Be The Face Of Share Your Universe!

And this year Marvel is giving a fan the ultimate experience…but only if you stop by the Marvel booth, #1354, to Share Your Universe. Are you the ultimate Marvel fan? Do you share the Marvel Universe with your friends and family? And do you want to bring the world of Marvel to the next generation? Then it’s time to tell them how you do it at the special Marvel: Share Your Universe video kiosk, exclusively located at the Marvel booth. By recording a quick video message and completing an Entry form; you will be entered for the opportunity to become the face of Marvel: Share Your Universe, Marvel’s landmark program that brings Marvel to families to create unforgettable memories. Share Your Universe video entries will be judged, and the winning video participants will be picked as the new face of this exciting Marvel initiative.

The winning Marvel fan will receive the following:

  • The opportunity to record (6) more videos that will be featured on Marvel.com
  • An HD flip cam
  • The opportunity to be immortalized by being drawn in an all-ages Marvel Comic

Marvel Reveals Share Your Universe

MarvelShareYourUniverseSamplerWe were pretty close with our prediction yesterday, but today Marvel revealed the details about Marvel: Share Your Universe, a new initiative encouraging fans to share their favorite Super Heroes with the next generation in hopes that they will make theirs Marvel. With Marvel’s characters crossing through comics, television, and digital media, Marvel: Share Your Universe tools to fans to introduce young fans to characters like the Avengers, Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Hulk, Spider-Man and more!

The new portal also includes free comics and free episodes of Marvel’s animated series and as well as activities for the whole family to enjoy. Here’s more offered through this outreach initiative:

  • Free episodes of the blockbuster Marvel’s Avengers Assemble and Marvel’s Ultimate Spider-Man animated series, available via Xbox Video on Xbox 360 and Windows 8 until 7/15/13.
  • Free Marvel: Share Your Universe comic book, exclusively in participating comic book stores tomorrow, Wednesday July 10th. To find a comic shop near you, visit www.comicshoplocator.com or call 1-888-comicbook.
  • Free all-ages Marvel digital comics available via the Marvel Comics app & Marvel Unlimited app (available on iPhone®, iPad®, iPad Touch® & Android™devices); Marvel Digital Comics Shop; and on MarvelKids.com.

Hints at Marvel’s Share Your Universe?

Marvel‘s Share Your Universe will be announced tomorrow, but some digging seems to hint that it’ll involve digital comics. A search brings up this dead end but also this page which links to a sampler comic based on the company’s animated series’. That comic also goes “live” on July 10th. Hmmm.

My guess is, this will be a greater integration of the Marvel website and digital comics to get fans to proselytize for the comic publisher.
