Age of Reptiles Returns with Ancient Egyptians

Never has the adage “silence is golden” more appropriately applied than to the return of Ricardo Delgado’s Eisner Award–winning series, Age of Reptiles, which heads back to stands in June for Age of Reptiles: Ancient Egyptians!

Written and penciled by Delgado with colors by Ryan Hill, the gorgeous and brutal series returns, marking a bold new direction in wordless storytelling! The steaming swamps of Cretaceous Africa teem with prehistoric life and primordial danger in a tale filled with villains, victims, and one of the most dangerous and unpredictable protagonists ever created: the lonely antihero Spinosaurus aegyptiacus!

Age of Reptiles: Ancient Egyptians #1 is out June 3 and can be pre-ordered today.

Friday, July 22
5:00-6:00pm Motion Picture and Television Illustrators – Nowadays a movie starts with an idea expressed in words or images. The men and women who turn these ideas into worlds of visual reality, be it a distant world of pure imagination or an earthly hovel, are the storyboard artists and illustrators. They will discuss their craft and answer questions. Panelists include moderator Hank Mayo (Ghostbusters 2), Tim Burgard (Thor, Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Green Lantern), Ricardo Delgado (John Carter, Battle Los Angeles, Gulliver’s Travel, X-Men Origins: Wolverine), Robin Richesson (I Am Number Four, Journey 2: The Mysterious Island, Ironman) Josh Nizzi (Transformers 3, The Amazing Spiderman, G.I. Joe: The Rise of the Cobra). Room 23 ABC

Saturday, July 23
10:00-11:00am Motion Picture and Television Production Designers:  If Writers write the words, and Cinematographers take the pictures; it’s the Production Designerswho create the cinematic worlds — of here and now, of long ago, of the distant future, and maybe even somewhere in a galaxy far, far, away.  In collaboration with a highly skilled art department, the Production Designer lays out the designs that will guide a small army of decorators, carpenters, sculptors, painters, and artisans of all sorts, to bring into existence those fantastic worlds that will fire all of our imaginations! Panelists include moderator John Muto (Terminator 2:3D), Cece DeStefano (Alias, The Cape, Chuck), Jim Bissell (Mission: Impossible—Ghost Protocol, Leatherheads, Good Night and Good Luck), Edward Thomas (Torchwood, Dr. Who) Greg Melton (The Walking Dead, The Mist, The Majestic) Room 25ABC
