SDCC 2022: Mad Cave Studios Announces its 2022 Talent Search Winners

Announcing the 5th annual Mad Cave Studios Talent Search winners! With submissions open to creators all across the globe, there’s a massive amount of talent that sends submissions to the contest. By running this talent search, Mad Cave Studios‘ goal is to give aspiring creators the opportunity that many people can only dream of: having their work published!

This year marks the 5th anniversary of Mad Cave Studios’ highly-anticipated annual talent search. For the first time, they’ve expanded the talent search to include two colorists and two letterers, along with two writers and two illustrators.

Here are the eight winners of the Fifth Annual Talent Search!

AfterShock Announces a Trio of New Hires

AfterShock has expanded announcing three new hires for the comic publisher.

Rachel Pinnelas

Rachel Pin­nelas is the Social Community Manager for AfterShock Comics. A comic fan from a young age, she began her pro­fes­sion­al career in the indus­try as a Mar­vel intern while studying architecture, and has worked for both Mar­vel and DC Comics as an editor. She is passionate about lending her expertise, creativity, and fandom knowledge to excite audiences old and new about all things comics.

Charles Pritchett

Charles Pritchett is the Design Manager at AfterShock Comics, spearheading everything from the digital assembly of every title and logo production, to lettering and branding design. Brought up on the wrong side of the tracks in a bustling metropolis in Newfoundland & Labrador, Canada, Charles enjoys a fine stew from time to time and hates to travel.

Katherine Jamison

Katherine Jamison is the Marketing Manager for AfterShock Comics. She holds an MFA from Sarah Lawrence College and was a freelance writer and editor in a former life.

Dynamite Welcomes Rachel Pinnelas as New Associate Editor

Dynamite Entertainment has announced the addition of Rachel Pinnelas to their Editorial Department staff. With seven years of editorial and production experience in the comic book industry, Pinnelas will serve as Associate Editor on a wide selection of Dynamite-owned, licensed, and creator-owned projects.

While pursuing a degree in architecture, Pinnelas joined the staff at Marvel Entertainment as intern in 2008, and navigated through their ranks until assuming the position of Assistant Editor where she was assigned to such projects as Avengers Academy, Secret Warriors, Thunderbolts, and The Punisher. In 2013, she migrated to DC Entertainment as an Assistant Editor within their Collected Editions department, where she was instrumental in developing hardcover, trade paperback, and reprint collections for DC Comics and DC Comics’ imprint titles.
