Plants vs. Zombies returns with Impfestation

Dark Horse Books, PopCap Games, and EA Games bring a new exciting adventure in the Plants vs. Zombies universe with Plants vs. Zombies: Impfestation, written by Eisner Award-winner Paul Tobin with art by Cat Farris, color by Heather Breckel, and letters by Steve Dutro.

The unthinkable happens when Chestbeard . . . asks for help! Pirates would rather walk the plank than ask for help, and they do not like walking the plank! With a seemingly endless infestation of zombie imps aboard his ship, Chestbeard sails to Neighborville Harbor and enlists Patrice, Nate, and Crazy Dave in clearing out the impfestation!

Plants Vs. Zombies Now Monthly From Dark Horse

With an all-ages Free Comic Book Day story right around the corner, Dark Horse Comics and PopCap Games have announced Bully for You, a new, ongoing Plants vs. Zombies miniseries coming to comic shops, beginning in June!

Eisner Award–winning writer Paul Tobin and artist Ron Chan join forces to uncover who’s really behind the mysterious Anti-Bully Squad. Nate, Patrice, and Crazy Dave investigate a strange college campus to keep the streets safe from zombies. And Dr. Zomboss’s crime-filled college years are revealed! This hilarious educational escapade also features two bonus stories illustrated by Dustin Nguyen. Future issues will feature bonus strips by Peter Bagge, Jennifer Meyer, Karim Friha, Nneka Myers, and others!

In spring 2014, Dark Horse Comics released The Art of Plants vs. Zombies. Part zombie memoir, part celebration of zombie triumphs, and part anti-plant screed, it is a treasure trove of never-before-seen concept art and material from Plants vs. Zombies, Plants vs. Zombies 2, Plants vs. Zombies Adventures, and Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare.

Diamond Select Toys and Popcap to Launch Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare Toys in September!

Get ready to dig into the trenches! After conquering the XBox One and PC platforms, the highly-rated Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare is coming to the Playstation 4! Now all Playstation fans will be able to play the newest mine-blowing adventure from Popcap and EA, which delivers the depth of a traditional online shooter blended with the refreshing humor of Plants vs. Zombies. And soon there will be a whole new way to play: with action figures and Minimates from Diamond Select Toys! The toys hit stores next month, and DST is giving you the chance to win a set as soon as they launch!

Next month, DST will launch this line of “bloom and doom” action figure two-packs at comic shops, specialty stores, and Toys “R” Us. Each set of two 5″ scale action figures will include one plant and one zombie, both based on designs from the Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare! The assortment includes:

  • Gatling Pea with Scientist Zombie
  • Camo Cactus with Foot Soldier Zombie
  • Chomper with Engineer Zombie
  • Shadow Flower with All-Star Zombie

Additionally, two box sets of Minimates mini-figures will be available in early September, one at Toys “R” Us stores and one at comic shops and specialty stores. Those two sets include:

SDCC 2013: Dark Horse Partners With PopCap for Plants Vs. Zombies!

Dark Horse Comics is bringing the first official Plants vs. Zombies comics to the world, released in a partnership with PopCap Games. The first and second chapters are ready for you to read NOW! Paul Tobin  and Ron Chan join forces with a bevy of battling plants to deliver a hilarious, all-ages, action-filled zombie romp to your neighborhood!

The six-issue miniseries will be available first digitally and will be collected in a beautiful hardcover available later this year. In conjunction with this epic release, Dark Horse has crafted a standalone iOS app for Plants vs. Zombies comics, which will be available for 99 cents and includes the first issue! As a special SDCC launch, the app and issue #1 will be free for the duration of Comic-Con International (July 17–July 21)!
