The Walking Dead: The Complete First Season Comes to Nintendo Switch on August 28

Leading publisher and developer of digital entertainment Telltale Games, alongside Robert Kirkman’s Skybound Entertainment, have announced that The Walking Dead: The Complete First Season will launch on Nintendo Switch on August 28, bringing the multiple ‘Game of the Year’ award-winning first season to Nintendo’s latest console.

The Complete First Season includes all five original episodes, as well as add-on anthology 400 Days. Both have been ported from last year’s The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series Collection, which offered substantial visual and performance enhancements over previous editions. Those upgrades will now carry over into The Complete First Season on Switch.

The full game, including all five episodes and 400 Days, will be available for download starting August 28 for $24.99 USD in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Australia, and most of Europe. Though audio will only be available in English, all content has been subtitled in English, French, German, Spanish, and Italian.

Telltale also announced that The Walking Dead: Season Two and The Walking Dead: A New Frontier will both come to Switch later this year. More information will be available in the coming months. Additionally, episode one of The Walking Dead: The Final Season launched earlier this month on Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. New episodes of The Final Season will continue to launch on all four platforms throughout the remainder of 2018.

The Walking Dead is set in the world of Robert Kirkman’s award-winning comic book series and offers an emotionally-charged experience in which players’ choices determine the course of the story across the entire series. Season One of Telltale’s The Walking Dead introduced young survivor Clementine and her protector Lee as they struggled against the dire circumstances of an undead apocalypse.

Battle Chasers: Nightwar Comes to the Switch in May

Airship Syndicate has announced the Switch release date for Battle Chasers: Nightwar. The game will be released on May 15th. The video game was funded through a Kickstarter and while the Switch release wasn’t part of the original campaign, it’s been approved and now has a release date.

Battle Chasers: Nightwar is based on the comic series Battle Chasers by Joe Madureira launched in 1998. The series suffered from extreme scheduling problems. Nine issues were released in four years. Originally published by WildStorm under its Cliffhange imprint, the series eventually moved to Image Comics in 2001.

The series saw nine issues released with a tenth solicited and not released. Madureira said he’ll be releasing issue #10 and two more issues. In October 2017, Madureira said the issue would be released in Spring 2018 with the new 3 issue arc focussing heavily on Garrison.
