Michael Giacchino delivers another tale of terror in Werewolf By Night: Blood Moon Rise

Michael Giacchino, director of Marvel Studios’ Special Presentation Werewolf by Night, will write Werewolf By Night: Blood Moon Rise, a new Marvel comic book hitting stands in July. The Academy Award-winning composer made his directorial debut in the acclaimed Marvel Cinematic Universe special. Now, he teams up with artist David Messina to deliver another tale of terror starring Jack Russell—this time set in the Marvel Comics universe!

Werewolf By Night: Blood Moon Rise spotlights what makes Werewolf By Night such a captivating Marvel icon, with over fifty years of comics history – and a hundred times as many bodies in his wake! In addition to Giacchino’s story that pits the tortured hero against Dracula, the one-shot will also have a backup story by Jason Loo, writer of the current Werewolf By Night: Red Band comic series, celebrating the character’s history and future along with various bonus material.

Mondo Reveals The Batman Original Motion Picture Soundtrack

This week, Mondo continues its ongoing DC soundtrack series with one of the most anticipated scores of the year: Michael Giacchino‘s masterful new score to The Batman. Nearly two hours of music, in which Giacchino flexes his prowess – after decades and nearly two dozen takes on the character and the music of his world, it should be impossible to tackle the world’s greatest detective with something fresh and iconic. But here we stand, and the soundtrack to THE BATMAN is as essential as the film itself.

Featuring original artwork by Henry Abrams, and housed in a spot-varnished tri-fold sleeve, and pressed on 3x 180 Gram vinyl.

Titles will hit The Mondo Record Shop on Wednesday, 3/09 at 12PM CT.

Director Matt Reeves Teases His Batman

Director Matt Reeves has posted the first look of Robert Pattison as Batman in the now shooting The Batman. The video was shot by the film’s director of photography Greig Fraser with music by the film’s composer Michael Giacchino.

The look is reminiscent of Christopher Nolan’s take on the character in his trilogy. The design has a grounded design about it, like hockey equipment meets skating pads meets police armor. We also get a first look at the new Bat-symbol.

The Batman is set to come to theaters on June 25, 2021.
