DeNA has launched a massive new update for Marvel Mighty Heroes, the popular real-time co-op brawler available now on the App Store and Google Play. Marvel Mighty Heroes allows players to assemble a team of iconic Super Heroes to battle evil Super Villains from the Marvel Universe.

This is the fifth and largest update to the game, coinciding with the release of the Secret Wars event, which ties into the recent Marvel comics events. The Universe is in turmoil and the ultimate power in the universe, the Infinity Gems, have been stolen by Thanos and the Black Order, creating fractured realities under their control. The heroes of these new realities are teaming up with their counterparts of Earth-616 to save the universe.

This update brings an often-requested feature to the game: PvP Battles! Players can team up with friends and unleash the ultimate smackdown against their opponents in certain events. Additionally, the character upgrade system has been overhauled and enhanced, with all characters available at all rarities. And thanks to a breakthrough in S.H.I.E.L.D. technology, characters will be able to use skills from other characters, creating hundreds of new gameplay variations. New characters will be available throughout the Secret Wars event, including Maestro Hulk, Ghost Rider, War Machine Thor, the All-New All-Different Doctor Strange, and many more.

DeNA and Marvel Entertainment have launched their brand new mobile title, Marvel Mighty Heroes, a real-time co-op brawler featuring beloved heroes and iconic villains from the Marvel Universe. Marvel Mighty Heroes is available for free, right now on iOS and Android.

In the game, players assemble a dream team of Marvel superheroes, equipped with their unique set of upgradeable abilities and costumes to compete in missions, explore new worlds, participate in multiplayer events, tackle boss battles and more. For the first time on mobile devices, up to four players can assume the role of an iconic Marvel character and face off against evil villains in thrilling action gameplay. Super Heroes include Iron Man, Thor, Spider-Man, Captain America, Star-Lord, Hulk, Hawkeye as well as dozens of Super Villains yet to be announced. Each character is equipped with a unique set of powerful, upgradeable abilities along with alternate costumes that grant new powers and allow for a variety of different play styles based around speed, strength, and health.

Also available at launch is the first in-game event for Marvel Mighty Heroes in their “Infinity” series, which features the Avengers and the Guardians of the Galaxy joining forces to battle Thanos the Mad Titan. For more details, please read the full press release below.
