Mike Mignola and Rachele Aragno Reunite for Leonide The Vampyr: The House of Yonda

Legendary Hellboy creator Mike Mignola is teaming up with fan-favorite artist Rachele Aragnoto return to the world of their critically acclaimed Leonide The Vampyr with a new two-part comics event, debuting on March 18, 2026. Written by Mignola with art by Aragno, colors from Dave Stewart, and letters from Clem RobinsLeonide The Vampyr: The House of Yonda will give readers terrifying new insight into Leonide’s origins and send her on an unpredictable new adventure. Both issues will feature covers by Aragno with issue #1 variant by Mignola and #2 variant by Márk Lászlo.

Fans first encountered Leonide in Mignola and Aragno’s 2022 stand-alone comics Leonide The Vampyr: Miracle at the Crow’s Head and Leonide The Vampyr: A Christmas for Crows, where the young vampyr charmed and terrorised unsuspecting villagers, pursued by an undead priest on a quest to save the world from her bloodthirsty machinations. Leonide the Vampyr: The House of Yonda begins after Leonide is chased off by her latest intended victims. An unwitting good samaritan finds her unresponsive and whisks her away by wagon to a doctor, but when the wagon arrives, the drivers are mummified and the girl is missing, with only a seed left in her place. This two-part story will follow a search for the missing girl’s ancestral home and expose her horrifying family history.

Copro Gallery Celebrates Hellboy’s 30th Anniversary with an Art Show Curated by Gary Deocampo

2024 marks the 30th anniversary of one of the most influential independent comic characters in pop culture: Hellboy. Mike Mignola’s iconic character has inspired artists working in every medium for decades. To celebrate Hellboy and Mignola’s legacy, curator Gary Deocampo has assembled a group exhibition with over 40 artists paying tribute to Hellboy with paintings, drawings and sculptures. The Hellboy 30th Anniversary Tribute Group Show will open on Saturday, July 6 at Copro Gallery in Santa Monica, CA.

The show brings together a diverse roster of acclaimed artists from the worlds of comics, film and fine art, including  Rachele Aragno, Attack Peter, Abby Belle, Mitchell Bernal,Steven Russell Black, Scott C, Anthony Carpenter, Rick Cortes,  Martin Darkside, Gary Deocampo, Dos Diablos,  Alban Ficat, Luke Flowers, Thom Fluharty, Francesco Francavilla, Gabriel Garcia, Juan Gedeon, Joseph Gonzalez,  Mab Graves, Gris Grimly, Jorge R. Hellboy and Stranger things are coming to Free Comic Book Day 2024 from Dark Horse

Plan ahead to visit a local comic shop on Saturday, May 4, 2024 for Free Comic Book Day! Dark Horse Comics has two original stories from the worlds of Hellboy and Stranger Things in one awesome comic for the day. The cover for the issue features new artwork by comics legends Mike Mignola and Dave Stewart.

In Hellboy “The Fortune Teller,” a murder investigation leads to a mysterious Romanian fortune teller who is way too interested in Hellboy’s past and future.

Then, in Stranger Things, “Deliver Me from Evil,” Argyle and Jonathan swap fantastical and scary tales as they make one last pizza delivery for the night.

The Hellboy short story is written by Mike Mignola, illustrated by Márk László, colored by Dave Stewart, and lettered by Clem Robins. The Stranger Things short story is written by Derek Fridolfs, illustrated and colored by Jonathan Case, and lettered by Nate Piekos.
