VIZ Media Launches New Shojo Manga Series – SP Baby

VIZ Media delivers a fun mix of action, comedy, drama and romance with the launch of the manga series SP Baby on November 28th.

The new series from the creator of Happy Marriage?!, Maki Enjoji, is rated ‘T+’ for Older Teens and will be published in print under the Shojo Beat imprint. Volume 1 will carry a print MSRP of $9.99 U.S. / $12.99 CAN. The series also launches digitally via viz.com and the VIZ Manga App, as well as from the Nook, Kobo, Kindle, iBooks, comiXology, and Google Play stores. SP Baby will conclude with the release of Volume 2 in February 2018.

As the series opens, Tamaki Hasegawa misses an interview for a much-needed job in order to stop an assault on a man running for his life! The man – Kagetora Sugo, the prime minister’s nephew – then asks Tamaki to become his bodyguard. Tamaki isn’t sure she’s cut out to be a bodyguard, but Kagetora has another reason for wanting to hire her. Unbeknownst to her, they’ve met before…

SP Baby creator Maki Enjoji made her professional debut with Fu Junai (Wicked Pure Love). Her shojo manga series, Happy Marriage?!, also currently published by VIZ Media, was adapted into a live-action drama in Japan.

VIZ Media presents a new take on domestic bliss as releases Maki Enjoji’s shojo manga series, Happy Marriage?! The first volume is available now from the Shojo Beat imprint, is rated ‘M’ for Mature Readers, and carries an MSRP of $9.99 U.S. / $12.99 CAN.

Happy Marriage?! is also available digitally for $4.99 (U.S / CAN) from VIZManga.com and for digital download through the VIZ Manga App for the Apple iPad, iPhoneand iPod touch, Android-powered smart phones, and also for NOOK tablets and devices.

In order to help her father, Chiwa Takanashi agrees to an arranged marriage with the company president, Hokuto Mamiya – a man she doesn’t know – at the request of Hokuto’s grandfather. Chiwa believes the arrangement isn’t binding, but her new partner seems to think otherwise.

This follows the release of Yuki Yoshihara’s Butterflies, Flowers as a manga entry targeted at adult women.
