ECCC 13 – Dark Horse Announces Mass Effect: Foundation Ongoing Series!

Today at Emerald City Comicon, Dark Horse Comics announced a new ongoing canonical entry in the Mass Effect series!

Mass Effect 2 and 3 lead writer Mac Walters kicks off a new ongoing series, set in the vibrant, engaging world of BioWare’s blockbuster science fiction epic! Fans of the award-winning franchise will find new characters tied directly to the newly announced Mass Effect 3: Citadel single-player DLC.

Mass Effect 3: Citadel will release worldwide on March 5 on Xbox 360, PC, and PS3, and on March 6 on PS3 in Europe. Price: $14.99, 1,200 Microsoft Points, or 1,200 BioWare Points.

Mass Effect: Foundation #1 is on sale July 24 in comic shops and on Dark Horse Digital.

Dark Horse Digital Releases an Official Android App

The Dark Horse Comics app is getting an official launch in Android. Comics fans of all ages can get Dark Horse comics on any Android-based tablet, phone, or laptop starting today. The final version of the fan-favorite Android app was finalized just in time to coincide with BioWare’s inaugural N7 Day.

The first annual N7 Day invites fans to celebrate the Mass Effect franchise worldwide, and what better way to do so than with the many critically acclaimed Mass Effect comics from Dark Horse.

Dark Horse Digital is offering Blasto: Eternity Is Forever, a digital-comic exclusive for Mass Effect fans written by lead game writer Mac Walters, with art by Omar Francia.

The free Dark Horse Digital comics app is now available worldwide through all modern web browsers and features cloud storage in both the Android and iOS apps.

NYCC 2012 – Mass Effect’s Blasto Receives Digital One-Shot for N7 Day!

Announced at New York Comic Con, Dark Horse Comics is set to publish a Mass Effect digital  comic centered on the first hanar Spectre, Blasto, in conjunction with the inaugural N7 Day on November 7th!

Written by lead game writer Mac Walters with art by Omar Francia, Blasto: Eternity is Forever, is sure to be a cult favorite amongst fans of the increasingly popular game series!

Blasto, who is described as having “a lover in every port and a gun in every tentacle,” doesn’t have time for your solid-waste excretions. On a remote space station overlooking the elcor home world, the lone Spectre puts an end to the nefarious deeds of an outlaw band of mercenaries bent on galactic domination.

The first annual N7 Day will invite fans to celebrate the Mass Effect franchise worldwide, with a coinciding game release of BioWare’s best selling smash hit Mass Effect Trilogy.

BioWare™, a division of Electronic Arts, and Dark Horse Comics announced today a special edition of Mass Effect: Invasion #1, the first installment in a series of comic books detailing the events following Commander Shepard’s epic journey in the critically acclaimed Action Role Playing Game, Mass Effect™ 2. The special edition of Mass Effect: Invasion #1 features brand new cover art designed by the Mass Effect team and signed exclusively by Mass Effect Lead Writer, Mac Walters. The special edition will be available in a limited run only at New York Comic Con, New York City’s premiere comic book convention, from October 13th – 16th.

The Mass Effect: Invasion series features a unique story by Mass Effect lead writer Mac Walters, an original script by John Jackson Miller, best known for his work on Star Wars: Knight Errant, and artist Omar Francia known for Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2. Mass Effect: Invasion focuses on a story arc featuring a key figure in the Mass Effect universe, Aria T’Loak. The self-appointed queen of Omega, a seedy space station catering to the galaxy’s underworld, T’Loak must defend her territory from a terrifying new threat unleashed by a pro-human organization called Cerberus. Mass Effect: Invasion will launch its first issue this October.

Mass Effect: Invasion #1 will be available at comic book retailers starting October 19, 2011.
