A Dark Crisis Looms for the DC Universe

Justice League #75

DC‘s major 2022 is a new “crisis”, Dark Crisis. The even spins out of the “deaths” of Batman, Wonder Woman, Superman, and more of the DC Universe taking place in Justice League #75 which is out in April.

The Great Darkness, DC’s new big bad which can be seen in Justice League vs. The Legion of Super-Heroes, is involved. He and his Dark Army launch the event.

The story has been building for a while since the last major event, Dark Nights: Death Metal.

While the details haven’t been released, the even kicks off in Dark Crisis #0 which will be released on Free Comic Book Day taking place on May 7. It’ll then continue Justice League: Road to Dark Crisis special and then a limited series.

A creative team hasn’t been announced by Brian Michael Bendis is currently writing Justice League vs. The Legion of Super-Heroes where the Great Darkness is front and center. Infinite Frontier and Justice League Incarnate have also been building to the event with both of those written by Joshua Williamson.

Expect more news on the event soon.
