Netflix has released a whole bunch of new pictures from Daredevil Season 2 which sees the debut of Jon Bernthal’s Frank Castle/The Punisher and Elodie Yung’s Elektra. Entertainment Weekly has an exclusive scoop on the details for the second season which will debut in 2016, likely in the Spring.

After week’s a speculation and rumors that Frank Castle aka the Punisher would be coming to the Marvel Cinematic world, Marvel has announced on their website that actor Jon Bernthal is going to be taking on the role. The actor is known for his role in another comic turned television series, The Walking Dead as well as the movies Wolf of Wall Street and Fury.
The character will premiere in the second season of Dardevil which airs on Netflix. That will premiere in 2016 and the first season can be streamed now.
Marvel’s Head of Television Jeph Loeb said that “Castle’s appearance will bring dramatic changes to the world of Matt Murdock and nothing will be the same.”

Bernthal will portray The Punisher, one of Marvel’s most popular characters. He is a vigilante who aims to clean up New York City’s Hell’s Kitchen by any means necessary, no matter how lethal the results.
The character has been on the big screen a few times already, and Marvel obtained the rights again recently. The character was portrayed by Dolph Lundgren in a 1989 movie, Thomas Jane in a 2004 film, and Ray Stevenson in a 2008 film.
The character is a former cop, and member of the military, who turns vigilante after his family is gunned down by the mob. His origin has varied at times.

Wizard World NYC Experience will be the fourth of eight events on the 2013 calendar, which also currently includes shows in Portland, Ore. (Feb. 22-24), St. Louis (March 22-24), Philadelphia (May 30 – June 2), Chicago (Aug. 8-11), Columbus, Ohio (Sept. 20-22), Nashville, Tenn. (Oct. 18-20) and Austin, Texas (Nov. 22-24). Wizard World has also scheduled its next New Orleans date (Feb. 7-9, 2014).
Star Trek: The Next Generation actor Sir Patrick Stewart, comics legend Stan Lee, Buffy the Vampire Slayer star Eliza Dushku, Reservoir Dogs headliner Michael Madsen and WWE® Superstar CM Punk® top the standout lineup of celebrities scheduled to attend Wizard World New Orleans Comic Con, Nov. 30 – Dec. 2, 2012, at New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. They will be joined by an All-Star collection of well-known artists and a variety of activities, exhibitors and special attractions in the final event on Wizard World’s 2012 calendar.
Stewart and Lee will appear on Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 1-2, while Dushku and Punk are scheduled to attend on Saturday and Madsen all three days.

THE WALKING DEAD” SEASON 2 KICKS OFF WITH AN EXTRA HALF HOUR OF ZOMBIE DRAMA

New York, NY – September 1, 2011 – AMC’s critically acclaimed original series, “The Walking Dead,” is back with its much anticipated second 13 episode season. Kicking off a two week long Fearfest, the network will once again present viewers with a 90-minute premiere episode, airing at 9 PM ET on Sunday, October 16th, with six one-hour episodes in the weeks following. The final six episodes of the season will commence on Sunday, February 12th at 9pm ET. The 90 minute version will also be launched globally on all Fox International Channels, following the US premiere the week of October 17th-23rd.
