Marvel’s Heroes are Transported to Fantastical Worlds in Isekai Variant Covers

This August, Marvel’s Stormbreakers take the heroes and villains of the Marvel Universe out of their element and into fantastical new worlds in Isekai Variant Covers!

“Isekai,” Japanese for “a different world,” is a subgenre popular in manga, anime, and video game storytelling in which a protagonist is transported to another realm. The Stormbreakers’ imagination runs wild with the concept across these new covers, pulling Marvel characters into strange settings and depicting them with striking new designs and powers. The new collection arrives just ahead of the Marvel Mangaverse 25th anniversary one-shots, five special one-shots revisiting the world of Marvel Mangaverse and introducing new manga-inspired versions of iconic Marvel heroes.

The current class of Marvel’s Stormbreakers include Alessandro Cappuccio, Netho Diaz, Simone Di Meo, Juan Frigeri, Gurihiru, Jonas Scharf, Geoff Shaw, and Luciano Vecchio. Chosen for their remarkable art, notable achievements, and boundless imagination when bringing the Marvel mythos to the page, these creators represent the future of comic book artistry and embody the raw talent to shatter the limits of visual storytelling!

Heroes Suit Up to Overthrow the King in Black in Knullbuster Variant Covers

This summer, Hela isn’t the only one coming for Knull’s throne. New Knullbuster Variant Covers introduce the King in Black’s worst nightmare: five iconic Marvel heroes donning symbiote slaying armor! The new covers come from some of the industry’s boldest artists including Luciano Vecchio, Gurihiru, David Baldeón, Clayton Crain, and Zulema Scotto Lavina. The pieces reimagine Black Cat, Doctor Doom, Jeff the Land Shark, Punisher and Deadpool in cosmically enhanced suits specifically designed to end Knull’s latest reign of terror!

Queen in Black, a new crossover event from Al Ewing and Iban Coello, launches this July.
