Monica Rambeau: Photon #2 is a fun second issue that will have fans scratching their head

Monica Rambeau: Photon #2

Everyone has good days and bad days. Sometimes, things go our way, and we can smile at the end of the day. Other days, it feels like nothing can go your way. I always feel like this is how the universe talks to each of us.

Whatever karma we put out there, we speak it into existence.. Then there are times when it feels like may be something greater than our comprehension. This is when all logic gets thrown out. In Monica Rambeau: Photon #2, Monica starts to feel her whole world steep into chaos.

We find Monica back in New Orleans, a bit disorientated, and not quite sure how she ended up  there but before she can start to figure out,  she notices hurdling asteroid headed for the city, one that she must stop. . She does avert danger, but at her own peril, to only be awakened by the Beyonder and the Avengers, who have arrived in New Orleans, because they have been getting some weird readings at Avengers mansion. As the reader soon finds out that someone or something has changed Monica’s present and past and it is not the Beyonder.  By the issue’s end, Druid confirms a horrible detail, something she knows that she must change.

Overall, Monica Rambeau: Photon #2 is a fun second issue that will have fans scratching their head. The story by Ewing is cool. The art by the creative team is stunning. Altogether, a great second issue which will give fans some nostalgia.

Monica Rambeau: Photon #1 is an excellent debut

Monica Rambeau: Photon #1

Families are one of those things that comprise our identity. It’s something we’re shaped by from birth. Those around give us our first belief system. As we grow older, our friends group and our education directs it in fascinating directions. Still at the end of the day, we are tethered to that family no matter who they are to you.

This holds true even when they are not the best people in the world. You soon realize the fractures in who they are. This becomes even more apparent, as you notice those same imperfections in yourself. In Monica Rambeau: Photon #1, we find our hero having to balance who she is as a superhero and a family member.

We find Monica back in New York, as she tries on her superhero name, Photon, while getting used to being a celebrity and balancing real ife. Meanwhile in the Sanctum Sanctorium, Wong and Dr. Strange are playing chess , when Monica comes though to return the Stone of Hal for safekeeping.  Just when our heroes think it was an easy day, they get a threat outside, who has outmatched Monica, leaving Spider-Man to swing by to help. By the issue’s end, they defeat the threat , leaving a bigger mystery, while she deals with family drama  back home in New Orleans, and a better understanding of herself, knowing that she needs peace.

Overall, Monica Rambeau: Photon #1 is an excellent debut issue that will have fans ready for the Marvels movie. The story by Ewing is fun. The art by the creative team is gorgeous. Altogether, a fine reintroduction of this legacy hero that will have fans worldwide ready for her big screen debut.

Behold the final chapter of Jason Aaron’s epic Avengers run in Avengers Assemble Omega!

In 2018, Marvel Comics superstar Jason Aaron began a run of Avengers so monumental that it could only end with the most epic battle in the history of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes! That multiverse-shattering ending is currently raging in the pages of Avengers Assemble, a crossover between Aaron’s two Avengers titles, Avengers and Avengers Forever. The 10-part showdown at the edge of reality between an army of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes and the most vile forces in the multiverse will reach its dramatic conclusion this April in Avengers Assemble Omega #1. The oversized finale issue will feature an all-star cavalcade of artists, including Javier Garrón who drew over 30 issues of Aaron’s run, Aaron Kuder, Jim Towe, Ivan Fiorelli, and more. The final moments of Aaron’s work on the title will star a veritable smorgasbord of Avengers and pack a few last emotional gut punches in the Mighty Marvel Manner.

In his nearly five-year run, Aaron assembled one of the most powerful Avengers lineups ever and took them on grand-scale adventures throughout Earth, space, and time, all while unearthing bold new discoveries behind the very fabric of the Marvel Universe and taking some of Marvel’s most popular heroes on character-redefining journeys. Now he’ll tie everything together in an operatic story that will leave a tremendous imprint on the Avengers mythos!
