Invincible Universe: Battle Beast #1 Hits Skybound Gold Status and Will Return with 10 New Covers to Celebrate a Historic Tenth Printing

Skybound and Image Comics have announced a landmark tenth printing for Invincible Universe: Battle Beast #1, the issue that brought new Invincible Universe stories back to comic shops for the first time in seven years, going on to smash sales records with no sign of stopping. This new printing is certified Skybound Gold to commemorate the rare achievement of a tenth printing and will feature all-new covers by top artists in the industry. 

From the unstoppable team of creator/writer Robert Kirkman, co-creator/artist Ryan Ottley, colorist Annalisa Leoni, and letterer Rus Wooton, Invincible Universe: Battle Beast #1 10th Printing will arrive on October 7, 2026. 

With 10 open-to-order covers to celebrate the historic tenth printing, Invincible Universe: Battle Beast #1 will head back to comic book shops with special gold foil editions of the issue’s original main cover by Ryan Ottley and Annalisa Leoni and a new cover by Ottley and Leoni, as well as new covers by Brett Bean, Jerome Opeña and Neeraj Menon, Cully Hamner, Nick Bradshaw and Jim Charalampidis, Tom Whalen, James Stokoe, Ben Stenbeck, and Carmine Di Giandomenico. 

Invincible Universe: Battle Beast #1 Tenth Printing (Lunar Codes below | SRP: $3.99, unless otherwise noted) will be available at comic book shops on Wednesday, October 7, 2026.

Skybound and Image Comics Serve Up Bloody Buffet of Invincible Universe: Battle Beast #1-7 Reprints

Skybound and Image Comics have announced another massive round of sellouts for the best-selling series Invincible Universe: Battle Beast.

On the heels of the release of Invincible Universe Battle Beast #8, every single previous issue has been sent back to the printer with gory new covers for fans and collectors to feast on. This latest batch of Invincible Universe: Battle Beast (#1-7) reprints will be available in comic shops on May 20, 2026. 

Fans had their fun with Invincible Month, but it’s now time to bow before the deadliest warrior in the universe, Battle Beast! While he might not be Invincible, Battle Beast has taken quite the beating from Colossus and Juggernaut but shows no signs of slowing down as the series ramps up the blood-soaked action with the Viltrum Empire on its way! 

Now is the time for fans to fill in any gaps in their Invincible Universe: Battle Beast collection. The series is only getting bigger as it enters its second year with another batch of talented artists adding gorgeous covers to the catalog.
