Mantic Games has revealed the next expansion for the Halo: Flashpoint miniature game. Halo: Flashpoint – Feet First Into Hell features models and rules for using ODSTs in games of Halo: Flashpoint, dice, plus a new game mat and easy-build urban warzone. The new expansion is available for order now through Mantic Games and local comic shops.

Mantic reveals its Halo: Flashpoint 2025 Show Specials

Convention specials can be pretty fun, and at times frustrating to get, and Mantic Games has revealed their 2025 Specials for Halo: Flashpoint. The first chance to see them will be at AdeptiCon (US) and SALUTE (UK).

Fireteam Phoenix features the original 4 Spartans, reposed, and produced in MasterCraft Resin. The figures won’t feature new cards as they’re already available. These are for the painters and are perfect to customize your Spartan team.

But Mantic is being awesome about this and the Fireteam Phoenix 2025 Show Special will be available for those who can’t make it to conventions too!

They will go up for pre-order on the Mantic webstore from the time of AdeptiCon, and come down after SALUTE at the end of April. They will then make them and ship them in May. Nobody misses out on their chance to order this fantastic show special which is pretty awesome for completists! Not only that, but FLGS partners will be able to get a copy of these very limited-edition 1-print special miniatures too!

Utility Cards

These cards will have simple gameplay mechanics such as destroying and stealing an opponent’s Utility card or swapping two of your own in the mission order. These cards will utilize Weapons, Vehicles. and Soldiers from the Halo Universe.

Asset Cards

These cards can act as any Utility cards, Destroy a chosen Utility Type, or Provide any Utility in any spot in your Mission Log. Asset cards are unaffected by other players Utility cards and will provide any of the shown Utility in your own mission log. These cards utilize imagery of UNSC personnel and Bosses from Halo Infinite.

Mission Cards

These cards will have an order in which a player must play utility cards to achieve the mission’s goal. They feature named Missions from the Halo Infinite Campaign. Utility cards will be played over the course of the game. When the correct order of utility cards is achieved the mission is complete and the player progresses to a more difficult mission. These will be organized into four categories corresponding with the difficulty levels of the Halo games.

Halo composer Marty O’Donnell is running for Congress and claims he’ll win because he’s a “gamer”

Marty O’Donnell is trying to go from composing music to composing legislation as he’s running for the U.S. House of Representatives. Announcing his campaign for the 3rd congressional district in Nevada, O’Donnell is running as a Republican.

Marty O’Donnell has worked on video games such as Myth, Halo, and Destiny and began his career writing television and radio jingles. He was fired in April 2014 by Bungie, eventually filing a lawsuit claiming he was terminated without cause and had pay withheld for vacation and sabbatical time. That lawsuit was settled eventually.

O’Donnell is challenging Democrat Susie Lee and he’s parroting the current favorite talking points of Republicans like blaming our problems on big government, railing against “undocumented” immigrants, and longing for “old-fashioned family values.”

When chatting with The Epoch Times, O’Donnell said:

I’m a gamer, so I intend to win. And I’m not going to lose because somebody thinks they can spend more money than me, because they can’t.

Not sure anyone enters into these things with the intention to lose… but sure.

In a recent interview, O’Donnell said he split his interests when he was 9 years old and was a fan of both Ronald Reagan and Paul McCartney.

On why he’s running he believers you need people from different backgrounds.

You don’t want 10 engineers making the game. You want an engineer, an artist, an animator, a composer, a writer, a designer—you want people who just approach the world differently. You don’t want all designers. You don’t want all composers. They would be horrible.

Most of the time, you only want one composer.

He see that what’s happening with the US government right now as nothing compared to developing video games.

What I see happening in Congress is like a walk in the park compared to making Halo 2.

O’Connell has a tough opponent in Lee who was first elected in 2018 and received 52% of the vote when she was re-elected in 2022.
