Gasolina goes from comic page to Audible. Listen now!

In this gripping adaptation of the Eisner Award-nominated comic book series Gasolina, Randy and Amalia find themselves in the middle of the Mexican drug war as it takes a supernatural turn. Despite their efforts of trying to leave behind their past identities as El Doctor y La Asesina – the givers and takers of life – the couple is forced to confront their old ways when Amalia’s nephew is kidnapped. Behind the crime stands a new cartel, infamous not only for their brutality and ruthlessness but also for their chilling devotion to a mysterious new saint, La Querida.  

The series is a bilingual audio release, with completed recordings in both Spanish and English.  

Gasolina is Skybound’s third partnership in a slate of Audible Original podcasts, joining Impact Winter and Death by Unknown Event. It’s based on the Skybound/Image comic book series created by Sean Mackiewicz and Niko  Walter and adapted for audio by Gabriel Urbina, creator of genre-defining work, Wolf 359.

C.O.D.E. from Robert Kirkman and Jason Howard Debuts in Skybound X #5

Image and Skybound revealed today that the acclaimed duo of Robert Kirkman and Jason Howard will reunite for the first appearance of their new series C.O.D.E. in Skybound X #5.

C.O.D.E. tells the story of humanity in the far future surviving a technological hellscape through the assistance of a device known as Combat Orb Defense Engines. Seven orb wielders who hail from six different warring factions have set aside their differences to band together and carry out a mission that may be humanity’s last hope to thwart a technological menace that has nearly completely overtaken earth.

This extra-length issue also features the final chapter of “Rick Grimes 2000,” along with new stories from the worlds of The Six Sidekicks of Trigger Keaton from Kyle Starks and Chris Schweizer and Gasolina from Sean Mackiewicz and Niko Walter!

Image and Skybound’s Gasolina is Sent Back to Print

Image Comics and Skybound Entertainment have announced that Gasolina #1—by creators Sean Mackiewicz and Niko Walter with colorist Mat Lopes and letterer Rus Wooton—will be rushed back to print in order to keep up with customer demand.

Set south of the border, Gasolina #1 follows newlywed fugitives Amalia and Randy on their journey south from El Norte. They have played many roles in order to survive, but now, they must become unlikely leaders in the fight against a new cartel who uses inhuman tactics to ignite the most monstrous war Mexico—and the world—has ever seen.

Gasolina #1, 2nd printing (Diamond Code AUG178485), Gasolina #2 (Diamond Code AUG170651), Gasolina #2 The Walking Dead tribute variant (Diamond Code AUG170652) will be available in stores on Wednesday, October 25th. The final order cutoff deadline is Monday, October 2nd.
