Fallout The Roleplaying Game: Wasteland Wanderer

Modiphius Entertainment has launched the pre-order for the anticipated solo edition of Fallout The Roleplaying Game: Wasteland Wanderer.

Based on Bethesda’s hugely successful Fallout series, Wasteland Wanderer allows players to record their adventures and play an RPG in the wasteland without the need for a group or gamemaster.

To play Wasteland Wanderer, players go through rounds involving four stages: Travel, Encounter, Action, and Journaling, where they roll d20s to generate where they go, what happens there, decide what they do, all using tables to procedurally generate the story as they go.

With this 256-page, full-color, royal-sized hardcover guide players can:

  • Create an original vault dweller to roleplay, as well as their original vault.
  • Explore a randomly-generated wasteland and record your story as you travel the surface.

Mr. Handy “Snip-Snip” gets a statue from Dark Horse Direct

The robotic relic of the pre-war era has never lost its eagerness to serve, courtesy of General Atomics International and Robco Industries. The Mr. Handy Mark IV unit known as “Snip-Snip” resides at the Super Duper Mart, conveniently repurposed to harvest the organs of wasteland wanderers. And as long as his nuclear fusion core remains intact, one never has to worry that he will lose his willingness to get the job done.

Snip-Snip is depicted gingerly lifting up a sheet, revealing his surgical tools and bloody remains of previous victims patients. Standing at 14.25” tall and on a 11.25” wide base reminiscent of the Super Duper Mart flooring. On the Mr. Handy “Snip-Snip” Statue, detailed and sculpted by Substance Model Works, Snip-Snip’s eyes and TV monitor light up, and the statue includes 7 voice lines as delivered by voice actor Matt Berry. Display the sights and sounds of Fallout when the VHS tape is pressed on the VCR to control the TV and lights.

Going strong for over 200 years, the Mr. Handy “Snip-Snip” Statue is a limited edition of only 500 units available exclusively from Dark Horse Direct for $499.99.

Fallout: Royal Flush is coming later 2025 and Fallout gets a solo TTRPG game, Lone Wanderer

Fallout TTRPG

Publisher of tabletop roleplaying games, wargames and board games, Modiphius Entertainment has shared that the previously announced campaign book for the popular tabletop roleplaying game for Bethesda’s Fallout, Royal Flush will now be released in Q4 2025.

Royal Flush takes players back to New Vegas and the Mojave Wasteland, where they will discover and attempt to dismantle a plot to bring war back to the West. Starting in New Reno—as all good stories do—by finding a body in a ditch, the players will deal with the criminal underbelly of the city, hired to find out what happened, and investigating the sudden boom in military grade firearms suddenly in the hands of the least likely, and most bloodthirsty, groups in the area. With so many bullets available, old tensions begin to rise, and it is only a matter of time before that much firepower causes the entire Mojave to explode, unless someone does something about it. The campaign book will give players the opportunity to visit New Vegas and explore a new region of the Mojave.

The publisher has also announced that a solo roleplaying title is in development under the name Lone Wanderer. Based on Bethesda’s hugely successful Fallout series, it will use a similar format to the popular Modiphius game, Star Trek Adventures’ Captain’s Log, allowing players to record their adventures and play an RPG in the wasteland without the need for a gamemaster.

Lone Wanderer will be based on the 2d20 System, and will procedurally generate a story for players that allows them to explore the wasteland as their character emerges from a Vault-Tec vault, immersing them in the post-atomic United States without a group or GM. Players will also be able to play as a number of other Fallout characters, like survivors, ghouls, super mutants, and robots.  The solo edition is due to be released in 2026.

Modiphius also has plans to develop and publish sourcebooks for the tabletop RPG that delve further into the history and geography of the different discrete areas of the wasteland, from New California and the Mojave, to the Capital Wasteland, the Commonwealth, and the Appalachian Wasteland.

Fallout’s teaser trailer is here!

Based on one of the greatest video game series of all time, Fallout is the story of haves and have-nots in a world in which there’s almost nothing left to have. 200 years after the apocalypse, the gentle denizens of luxury fallout shelters are forced to return to the irradiated hellscape their ancestors left behind — and are shocked to discover an incredibly complex, gleefully weird and highly violent universe waiting for them.

From executive producers Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, the creators of Westworld, starring Ella Purnell, Aaron Moten, Walton Goggins and more.

Fallout arrives April 12 on Prime Video.

Modiphius Entertainment is expanding its support for at-home 3D printing and has made available several new Fallout: Wasteland Warfare terrain models via their online storefront. Each product is available as a digital STL file, suitable for printing on most consumer and professional 3D resin printers. Modiphius is one of the few tabletop gaming companies that offer significant support for print-at-home, and is the only publisher doing it for licensed games such as Fallout. The latest model release consists of:

  • Bottle and Cappy: No trip to Nuka World would be complete without a photo with these two beloved mascots! Grab these STLs, which allow you to print nine versions of this dynamic fizzy duo! $15.99 USD

  • Nuka World Parking Lot: This set of STLs allows you to print the key elements you will need to represent the various parking lots that surround the six zones in the Nuka World park, including a damaged (or preserved!) bus, a bus shelter, trash bins, and a Pick ‘R Up truck! $62 USD

Hero Collector announces new Fallout collectibles as part of a wider Bethesda Partnership

Hero Collector, designers of high-quality collectibles from across the worlds of pop culture, announced a new partnership with world-famous video game publisher Bethesda Softworks last year. Now the vault doors are opening to reveal the first of these new initiatives – Fallout figurines, a range of detailed statuettes showcasing famous friends and foes from the Fallout series!

Set in a post-apocalyptic American wasteland, the Fallout series is renowned for its dark humour and retrofuture style. These hand-painted models are a perfect way for fans to celebrate the most iconic characters from the games, each standing roughly 5 inches tall at a 1:16 scale.

The first wave of models in the Fallout 1:16 figurine collection features characters from 2015’s Fallout 4:

  • Sole Survivor, the main character of Fallout 4. When the bombs dropped, the Sole Survivor was sealed in Vault 111, trapped in cryogenic stasis. Woken over 200 years later, the Sole Survivor ventured into the Boston wasteland to search for their son Shaun – who was kidnapped from the frozen Vault by the secretive Institute…
  • Nick Valentine, a private eye with a heart of gold and a brain of silicone! A prototype “synth” with a mysterious past, this robotic detective became a companion of the Sole Survivor in Fallout 4, putting his skills as a geared-up gunslinger and hard-boiled hacker to good use.
  • Protectron, one of the most popular models in RobCo Industries’ range of service robots! These bipedal automatons survived the destruction of civilization, and dutifully carry on with their programmed tasks – even if the years have made some of them a bit… quirky.
  • Feral Ghoul, a human transformed by overexposure to radiation. Immortal mutants with the appearance of rotting corpses, most ghouls are perfectly intelligent – albeit bitter and lonely. Feral ghouls are less fortunate – driven mad by radiation, they stalk the wasteland as terrifying, morbid predators…

Retailing at $24.95/£19.99 each, this new range is scheduled to launch in November 2021, in window packaging perfectly suited to retailer windows and collectors’ shelves.

Fans should stay tuned for further details, including the reveal of more statuettes and figurines based on the world of Fallout – and other Bethesda franchises!
