Rick Remender and Wes Craig’s Deadly Class Gets a First Look Trailer

Rick Remender and Wes Craig‘s Deadly Class has received a series order from SyFy. The comic series turned television property was optioned by Joe and Anthony Russo, the duo behind Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity WarDeadly Class is published by Image Comics.

Remender and Miles Orion Feldsott adapted the comic for television and will executive produce alongside the Russos and Mike LaroccaSony Pictures and Universal Cable Productions are producing the series.

The story is set in the 1980s and follows homeless teens who are recruited into an elite private school that caters to crime families.

The television series features Benedict Wong, Lana Condor, Benjamin Wadsworth, Maria Gabriela de Faria, Luke Tennie, Liam James, Michel Duval, and Henry Rollins.

This is the latest comic turned television show for SyFy. The channel is currently airing Krypton and recently ran Happy!. Wynonna Earp has received multiple seasons. Roche Limit, another Image series, is getting a pilot order.

The two are also working on adapting Valiant Entertainment’s Quantum and Woody. Deadly Class is published by Image Comics.

100% of Image’s Pride Month Variant Cover Proceeds to Go to Human Rights Campaign

Image Comics has revealed the first six of eleven variants planned for June’s 25th-anniversary theme—“Pride Month.” The variants will serve to celebrate the LGBTQ community and the progress made by the Gay Liberation Movement in promoting inclusivity and support for all. 100% of the proceeds made from these June Pride variant covers will be donated to Human Rights Campaign.

Each month of Image’s 25th year will boast a theme for special anniversary variants.

Spawn’s Legacy Spreads for Image’s 25th Anniversary May Variants

Image Comics has revealed the first nine of the variants planned for May’s 25th anniversary theme month—Spawn. Image Comics’ creators bring their interpretation of the iconic antihero by Todd McFarlane to life all month long. Black and white versions of a selection of the covers will also be available.

Each month of Image’s 25th year will boast a theme for special anniversary variants.

Image Comics Reveals 11 Variants to Celebrate 25 Years

Image Comics is thrilled to reveal the first 11 of 15 homage variants planned for February’s 25th anniversary theme month—“tribute covers” celebrating iconic cover images from throughout the company’s history.

Each month of Image’s 25th year will boast a theme for special anniversary variants, beginning with Wednesday, February 1st—the exact date of Image Comics’ founding in 1992, and the date of this year’s “Image Comics Day.”

“One of the great things about celebrating our 25th anniversary is that it creates an opportunity for us to look back at over two decades of history-making comics and showcase some of the wonderful work that made Image what it is today,” said Eric Stephenson, Publisher at Image Comics. “Everyone in the Image family is a fan at heart, and this month’s tribute variants give the participating creators a chance to show their admiration for some of comics’ greatest creator-owned triumphs by putting their own unique spin on classic images from that rich and varied past for a collection of covers as fun as they are stunning.”

Image Comics Kicks Off Their 25th Anniversary Variants with Deadly Class

Image Comics has announced monthly theme variants in celebration of the company’s 25th anniversary this year. The series of variants will launch with Rick Remender and Wes Craig‘s Deadly Class #26 and a cover that commemorates Marc Silvestri‘s Cyberforce #1.

Each month of the anniversary year will boast a special theme for the variants, beginning with the Wednesday, February 1st—the exact date of Image Comics’ founding in 1992.

February’s theme is: “Homage covers celebrating Past, Present, Future” with variants paying tribute to popular series throughout the company’s history.

Deadly Class #26 Cover B (Diamond Code NOV168917) will feature art by Eric Canete, colors by Jordan Boyd, in homage to the fan-favorite Top Cow series Cyberforce created by Marc Silvestri, which brought fans in by droves when it first hit stores. The final order cutoff for comics retailers is Monday, January 9th.
