Get Lost in a Good Book and Never, Ever Return in The Fiction

BOOM! Studios has announces the June debut of The Fiction, a new limited series from Curt Pires and rising star artist David Rubín about a group of childhood friends who discover doorways to other worlds through a set of strange books, in the vein of The Unwritten and Jumanji.

Four childhood friends discover a box of strange books that, when read aloud, can transport them to the beautiful, imaginary worlds described within. But when one of them goes missing, the others vow never to reveal where they’ve been and what they’ve seen. Years later, when one of the remaining kids, now an adult, also mysteriously disappears, it’s up to the last two of the group to dig up their dusty books to find him and finally figure out what happened to their friend all those years ago.

The Fiction #1 arrives in comic shops on June 17th with a main cover by series artist David Rubín for the price of $3.99 under Diamond order code APR151177. Also available in a limited quantity are a 10 Years incentive cover by Frazer Irving and a retailer incentive cover by Tula Lotay.

Preview: The Blacklist #1

Hitting stores on July 22, 2015, The Blacklist #1 comes with two covers to collect: an original painted cover of Raymond ‘Red’ Reddington from fan-favorite artist, Alice X Zhang (Doctor Who) and a photo cover with an iconic image of Red. The Blacklist comic will also be available to read on personal digital devices.

The comic series is penned by Nicole Phillips and drawn by Beni Lobel and developed in conjunction with The Blacklist TV series from Sony Pictures Television. The first arc (Issues 1-5) will feature stories which expand upon the events of the TV series and feature all the major characters from the show, including the formidable Raymond ‘Red’ Reddington, played by James Spader, along with characters Lizzie (Megan Boone), Donald Ressler (Diego Klattenhoff), Dembe (Hisham Tawfiq) and others.

August 12sees the launch of Titan Comics’ Doctor Who summer event – Doctor Who: Four Doctors!

This spectacular 5-part weekly event will be penned by Paul Cornell and illustrated by Neil Edwards, and stars the Tenth, Eleventh and Twelfth Doctors and their comics companions!

The first issue hits comic stores on Wednesday August 12, supported by the global Doctor Who Comics Day on Saturday August 15!

Each of the five issues comes with three covers to collect: an art cover, a photo cover and a companions art cover!
