I’ve sat through all of The View, and there’s been no announcement from Marvel. Instead Mashable has the scoop, an all-female Avengers team, A-Force! This was to be the second “female centered” announcement on The View, and looks like we were right to expect another “progressive” one. The show is where Marvel announced their female Thor and where they announced Northstar’s marriage to his boyfriend.

A-Force will consist of She-Hulk, Dazzler, Medusa, Nico Minoru and many others — including at least one new superhero, a “cosmically powered” heroine named Singularity.

A-Force will be co-written by G. Willow Wilson and Marguerite Bennett the artist will be Jorge Molina.

The old Avengers team was disbands due to Secret Wars, leading to this new team.

Willow Wilson. “We’ve purposefully assembled a team composed of different characters from disparate parts of the Marvel U, with very different power sets, identities and ideologies.”

And there came a day, a day unlike any other, when Earth’s mightiest heroines found themselves united against a common threat. On that day, A-Force was born—to fight the foes no single Super Hero could withstand! Their glory will never been denied! Heed the call, A-Force Assemble!
