Get an extended look at Sabrina the Teenage Witch #1, debuting October 7

Oni Press and Archie Comic Publications, Inc. have unveiled an extended look inside Sabrina the Teenage Witch #1, the latest in the stunning and fun-fueled new line of Archie comics coming from Oni Press this fall! On October 7th, join Hugo Award-nominated writer Corinna Bechko and Eisner Award-nominated artist Kano to summon a new spell of magic and mischief in a brand-new ongoing series hell-bent on launching comics’ most iconic sorceress-in-training into a spectacular new era for Archie Comics!

Who’d ever want to be ordinary when you could be a teenage witch instead? Still reeling from the surprise revelation of her secret birthright and with Halloween just around the corner, high schooler Sabrina Spellman is honing her craft one hex at a time and figuring out how to balance her magical new life with the crushing responsibilities of being 16 years old. But when her feline familiar Salem drops a mythical trickster on Sabrina’s literal doorstep, she might not be able to keep her two worlds from smashing together like two busted pumpkins on All Hallow’s Eve. No time for fate. No time for destiny. No time for homework. Being a teenager is far from magical . . . even when you’re a witch!

The fun starts on MIDNIGHT (12:01 AM, to be precise) on Wednesday, October 7th as Oni Press invites readers and retailers to open up their doors in the dead of night and ring in the witching hour with an early, midnight release for Oni’s Sabrina the Teenage Witch #1 – featuring a devilishly wicked, open-order “Pyre Satanic” variant cover by cover artist Chloe Brailsford produced especially for retailers celebrating Sabrina’s return with their own midnight mass! The Power Fantasy #12 Ignites Tensions. The New Story Arc Threatens Full-Scale Escalation.

The Eisner Award nominated The Power Fantasy by multiple award winning writer Kieron Gillen and fan-favorite artist Caspar Wijngaard, and published by Image Comics, will kick off a pulse-pounding new story arc with issue #12 next month. This new chapter will center around the enigmatic Etienne Lux character.

In The Power Fantasy #12, readers are drawn deeper into the chaos of Etienne Lux’s world—where the stakes are high and the consequences unimaginable. The issue opens with a gripping new development, brought on by the fallout of previous betrayals and power plays, and sets the stage for unpredictable confrontations to come.

Gillen and Wijngaard’s The Power Fantasy is a Cuban Missile Crisis scenario reimagined through a cracked mirror of superhuman paranoia and ideological brinkmanship—except instead of nuclear warheads, the world teeters on the edge of annihilation at the hands of the weaponized superpowered few.

Locked in a deadly chess match over ideology and survival, The Power Fantasy builds a world where superpowered beings are the arms race—living warheads of ego, trauma, and propaganda.

The Power Fantasy‘s characters are trapped in a zero-sum game where escalation is easier than empathy, and every move risks planetary fallout. Trust is a luxury, diplomacy is performance, and every moment is a gamble with extinction.

The Power Fantasy #12 Cover A by Wijngaard (Lunar Code 0825IM0300) and The Power Fantasy #12 Cover B by Chloe Brailsford (Lunar Code 0825IM0300) will be available at comic book shops on Wednesday, October 8.
