HEX tells the story of Ken Takamoto, an amateur racer who dreams of glory in his small town where racing is king, and Dante Willow, a long-departed pro who died in a fiery wreck decades ago, cursed to haunt the car he crashed. When they meet(cute) by chance, it dawns on them that each is the missing piece of the other’s puzzle: Ken needs Dante’s technical know-how and driving skills, while Dante needs Ken’s ability to impact the corporeal world. Together—if they can keep their plan tight!—they have a shot at winning the local Grand Prix known as the Hex Americana.

A lot is at stake here! Dante must finish what he started ages ago and move on to the next phase of the afterlife, while Ken needs a big break and the freedom to explore the world with a car all his own. What starts as a simple personal project grows to encompass the whole town and its cast of otherworldly characters that could only have come from Bree’s uniquely infectious spirit and imagination. And while this unlikely pair embarks on their journey, a sweet romance blooms to add a huge dose of the feels.
