Gundam Assemble launches October 2026

Gundam Assemble brings the popular model kits and property to the tabletop in a miniature game and now we know we can expect to start seeing it later this year. We didn’t know when or what we can expect, but we now have a better idea of the initial waves when it releases.

Multiple products have been revealed for the initial launch including starter sets and expansion.

The game features a Starter Set which retails for $34.99, a Deluxe Set for $99.99 and then another Deluxe Set for $169.99.

SDCC 2025: Godzilla is set to dominate the convention with takeovers

San Diego Comic-Con 2025 is about to feel the roar as the King of the Monsters, Godzilla makes an earth-shaking return and unleashes a mighty presence like never before! Toho International, in collaboration with top-tier partners IDW Publishing, Super7, Bandai Namco, and Mondo, is bringing a full-scale Godzilla takeover to the convention week with exclusive products, immersive experiences, and special appearances that celebrate the enduring legacy of the iconic kaiju.

Kicking off the monster-sized festivities, IDW Publishing, the comic book publisher expanding the Godzilla universe with new stories and series, will launch their latest comic Godzilla #1 during the convention. IDW will also provide attendees a rare opportunity to meet the creators of the Godzilla Kai-Sei era series during an on-site press tour and press room interviews. 

Beloved Japanese-inspired toy brand Super7 is going all-out with a full Godzilla pop-up experience and store takeover, complete with rare collectibles, exclusive merchandise, and exciting fan engagements throughout the con at their San Diego store located at 701 8th Ave, San Diego, CA 92101. 

The Godzilla store takeover will also feature a press and influencer hour giving those invited an early access to limited-edition drops, and fans won’t want to miss a special in-store signing event on Friday, July 25 at 11am at the Super7 store with Shin Godzilla Director, Shinji Higuchi, making his appearance as part of Super7’s programming. 

Bandai Namco, the Japanese multinational toy manufacturer and distributor will also release an exclusive Godzilla figure from their Bandai Tamashii line at the con, plus 750 gold Godzilla Minus One figure posters with a few gold print limited edition copies available at the con. Bandai will also host a special signing with Shinji Higuchi at their booth on Saturday, July 26 at 1PM.   Den of Geek will host a live stream giveaway with a slew of Godzilla-themed products from several Godzilla licensing partners.  

Mondo will be joining in on the Godzilla fun with the release of two soft vinyls of the monster, Hedorah Godzilla (Cherry Blossom) + AP Godzilla (GID, Green and Heat).

Attendees can expect to see more exclusive Godzilla products and announcements at San Diego Comic-Con 2025 from Toho International, the Japanese studio’s U.S.-based subsidiary behind Godzilla, Super 7, IDW Publishing, and Mondo.

Bandai Namco submits an “Objection” to Diamond Comic Distributor’s sale

Early today it was announced that the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Maryland has scheduled a hearing for Monday, April 7, to consider Diamond Comic Distributor’s request for the approval of the sale of the company to Alliance Entertainment through the bankruptcy process. Bandai Namco has submitted a “reservation of rights and limited objection” to the approval of the sale.

Bandai is owed $4,292,620.24 according to the filing and “out of abundance of caution” filed a Reservation of Rights pending review of the final sale order and any amendments to the purchase.

They have staked their right to object to the “Sale Motion and the Sale Order on any factual or legal basis,” “to appear
and be heard by the Court with respect to the Sale Motion and Sale Order,” and “grant such other and further relief as may be just and property.”

What seems to be new information from the filing, Universal Distribution might have submitted a higher bid than Alliance Entertainment who was awarded the win. There are questions of how fair the process was in Bandai’s filing. While there were rumors of higher bids, this is the first naming of who that we’ve seen.

Bandai isn’t the first to file an objection. Image Comics and Pokémon Company International both have previously filed their concerns.

NYCC 2024: Bandai Namco and Titan Comics team for new Little Nightmares comics

Titan Comics has announced it is teaming up with Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe to publish a brand-new series of comics in 2025; set in the disturbing world of the successful video game franchise, Little Nightmares.

Titan Comics’ Little Nightmares: Descent to Nowhere #1 is written by Lonnie Nadler also known as the showrunner and lead writer for The Sounds of Nightmares, the Little Nightmares podcast, with art by Ringo Award nominated artist Dennis Menheere. The issue will take readers in an investigation story navigating between the Nowhere, a nightmarish world filled with frightening inhabitants, and the Counties, an equivalent to our world. The series will include 4 issues and a graphic novel collection.

The comic series launches in comic stores in 2025, but fans attending New York Comic Con 2024 can stop by Bandai Namco’s booth #2319 for an exclusive early preview. 

Little Nightmares franchise offers a deep universe to discover on different platforms with already 2 console games, a mobile game and a podcast series available. 

Within this universe each of your childhood fears becomes true. After vanishing without a trace, children wake up in a vast nightmare reality filled with monsters, where survival comes at a cost, and escape is nearly impossible. However, a glimmer of hope remains, full of innocence, the children always seek to find a way out. They can count on their curiosity and ingenuity to escape various monstruous threats and solve puzzles and mysteries. 

The first game in the series was released in 2017. After this success, the franchise was exported to the mobile platform with Very Little Nightmares, before returning to its origins, on all platforms (Sony, Xbox, PC, Nintendo) with Little Nightmares II in 2021. But the adventure does not stop here, Little Nightmares III has been announced for 2025 and introduces two new characters, trying to find a way out of the Nowhere. For the first time in the franchise, the game introduces a long-awaited feature: online co-operation for two players!

The franchise also expanded on audio streaming platforms with a popular, award-winning audio fiction series, The Sounds of Nightmares, which launched in August 2023. This eerie psychological thriller podcast was the first story to introduce the world of The Counties to the Little Nightmares community and has been successful hitting 2 million listenings worldwide.

NYCC 2023: A New PAC-MAN Game and a Slate of Hotly Anticipated Anime Titles Top Bandai Namco’s Lineup

Bandai Namco Entertainment America Inc. is bringing an everything anime bagel and a pizza-inspired video game icon to New York Comic Con 2023. The company is announcing the next PAC-MAN title and hosting events during the show that celebrate the classic character. The events include a visually stunning PAC-MAN themed experiential activation featuring first-hands on with the new game and a drone show that will bring the big yellow fella and his nemeses, the Ghosts, to the skies over New York City. On the show floor, Bandai Namco Entertainment America Inc. is giving attendees the chance to play its slate of anticipated anime games across several booths. There will be hands-on game play, giveaways, and memorable photo-friendly themed activations for NARUTO X BORUTO ULTIMATE NINJA STORM CONNECTIONS, SAND LAND, and JUJUTSU KAISEN CURSED CLASH. New York Comic Con takes place October 12-15 at the Javits Center. 

To celebrate the newest PAC-MAN game, slated to be announced during the week of the show, Bandai Namco Entertainment America Inc. is bringing even more shine to the Big Apple. PAC-MAN will be the star of a one-of-a-kind video game drone show over the New York City skyline on Thursday, October 12th. The PAC-MAN party continues through Comic Con weekend with PAC-MAN™ Shine-On, a retro-futuristic experience where nostalgic arcade aesthetics mix with a modern neon twist. The immersive pop-up will feature classic PAC-MAN arcade cabinets, amusement games and the newly announced title for hands-on play plus giveaways, refreshments, photo ops, live DJ and more. PAC-MAN Shine-On takes place nightly from 5:00 to 10:00 p.m. EDT on Friday, October 13th, and Saturday, October 14th, at the Lightbox, located about a mile from the Jacob Javitz Convention Center. 

On the New York Comic-Con show floor, Bandai Namco Entertainment America Inc. will feature the following game demos and activities during show hours and available to all attendees: 

  • NARUTO X BORUTO ULTIMATE NINJA STORM CONNECTIONS (Booth #2705) – Pose with the Nine-Tailed Fox and enter a recreation of the Hidden Leaf Village food stands to play recently announced characters for this action fighting game arriving on consoles and PC on November 17th. 
  • SAND LAND (Bandai Namco Booth #2319) – Enter a recreation of a vehicle from the game and go hands-on with  an action-packed playable demo of SAND LAND, a new action RPG based on the classic manga from Akira Toriyama, creator of DRAGON BALL and DR. SLUMP. 
  • JUJUTSU KAISEN CURSED CLASH (Bandai Namco Booth #2319) – Play the debut hands-on demo for this first ever game for consoles and PC based on the wildly popular serialized manga and anime. SDCC 2023: Bandai Namco brings its Biggest Games

Video game publisher and developer Bandai Namco Entertainment America Inc. is going Super Saiyan and bringing a tank-load of game demos and more to the 2023 San Diego Comic Convention (SDCC). The titles on display include hot and hotly anticipated games Armored Core VI Fires of Rubicon, Tekken 8, Sand Land, Naruto X Boruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections, and Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2. With a variety of gameplay activations, experiential installations, photo ops, and swag, attendees are invited to see all that Bandai Namco Entertainment America Inc. has to offer from July 20 – 23 at and around the San Diego Convention Center. 

Activations from Bandai Namco Entertainment America Inc. during SDCC take place at the San Diego Convention Center, at the nearby San Diego Wine & Culinary Center located at 200 W Harbor Drive (Suite 120), and at the Dragon Ball Special Booth at Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina Terrace, located at 333 W Harbor Drive.

  • SAND LAND (Booth #3729) – Enter a recreation of a vehicle from the game and go hands-on with the first-ever playable demo of SAND LAND, a new action RPG based on the classic manga from Akira Toriyama, creator of DRAGON BALL and DR. SLUMP. 
  • NARUTO X BORUTO Ultimate Ninja STORM CONNECTIONS (Booth #129) – Pose with a Naruto statue and play recently announced characters in a recreation of the Hidden Leaf Village food stand for this action fighting game celebrating the anime’s 20th anniversary. 
  • PANEL ROOM ACTIVATIONS – See the Worldwide Premiere of the SAND LAND anime feature film – follow the official SAND LAND Twitter for more information. Join a panel of fighting greats to learn more about TEKKEN 8; SDCC panel details will be revealed at a later time. 

At the San Diego Wine & Culinary Center

  • ARMORED CORE VI FIRES OF RUBICON – Pilots wanted! The battle over Rubicon 3 and its valuable resource Coral is in need of capable pilot recruits. In this exciting experiential activation for the upcoming action game from FromSoftware, Inc. (ELDEN RING™, DARK SOULS™), prospective pilots will be able to test their reflexes with a series of challenges and pose with a life-size Armored Core mech.
  • TEKKEN 8 – “Fist Meets Fate” in San Diego! Comic-Con attendees will experience a fully immersive TEKKEN installation with artwork, a non-alcoholic beverage station, DJ, cosplayers, temporary tattoos, playable stations, and more.
