Aspen’s Latest “10 for 10” Jirni Out Tomorrow

Tomorrow sees the latest release in Aspen‘s “10 for 10” initiative. Jirni #1 by J.T. Krul, Paolo Pantalena and Brett Smith, has orders in excess of over 36,000 copies and will feature a large array of retailer exclusive covers personalized for each individual store, which you can see below.

Aspen Owner and President Frank Mastromauro discussed the latest release:

To say we’re happy with the response to Jirni #1 would be a complete understatement. Though we felt the property would do well, we’re thrilled with the amount of feedback and interest we’ve received on it so far. JT, Paolo and Brett did an amazing job on this book and I cannot wait to hear what the fans think about it. This series marks our highest selling ’10 for 10′ debut this year, and I don’t see that slowing down anytime soon!

Aspen is pricing each debut #1 “10 for 10” issue for the affordable price of only $1 and is also offering other incentives for each release such as original hand-drawn sketch covers, CGC editions, and special retailer incentive covers by popular artists J. Scott Campbell and Eric “Ebas” Basaldua.

Aspen Reveals Charismagic #1 Covers

Aspen is releasing the fantasy adventure series Charismagic as the fourth release in their “10 for 10” initiative. The debut issue will cost just $1 and is hitting shelves on May 1^st. The issue will be written by Vince Hernandez with art by Vincenzo Cucca and Emilio Lopez and will feature special Retailer Exclusive incentive covers.

Like their previous issues released as part of this initiative each store’s cover has been painstakingly designed to be unique for each and every retailer that participates.

Fans who add each of the “10 for 10” titles to their comic shop’s local subscription service will be eligible to receive the special Aspen Reserved Edition variant covers. Those fans who collect all ten Aspen Reserved Edition #1 covers will receive a free full-size Aspen “Perfect 10’s” Jam Poster featuring all ten “10 for 10” covers on one image colored by superstar colorist Peter Steigerwald. Aspen’s Shrugged #1 Covers Revealed

Aspen has announced that the second release in their ambitious “10 for 10” initiative, Shrugged #1, has ordered in excess of over 32,000 copies and will feature a large array of retailer exclusive covers personalized for each individual store.

Aspen Owner and President Frank Mastromauro was enthusiastic about the response, stating as a writer and co-creator of the series he “couldn’t be happier with the great response.”

The series has been on the company’s schedule for several years, and is back as part of Aspen’s ‘10 for 10’initiative which sees ten new series debut over 10 months. This latest volume was born with an idea Michael Turner had for the sequel to the first volume of the series.

Fans and new Aspen readers who add each of the “10 for 10” titles to their comic shop’s local subscription service will be eligible to receive the special Aspen Reserved Edition variant covers. Those fans who collect all ten Aspen Reserved Edition #1 covers will receive a free full-size Aspen “Perfect 10’s” Jam Poster featuring all ten “10 for 10” covers on one image colored by superstar colorist Peter Steigerwald. Aspen’s “10 for 10” Continues at Emerald City Con

Aspen Comics heads north to Seattle on March 1^st – 3^rd for the Emerald City Comicon 2013 and will be continuing their huge push for their “10 for 10” anniversary initiative at the show. Creators Frank Mastromauro, Peter Steigerwald, Siya Oum and David Wohl will be appearing all weekend long at the Aspen Comics Booth #2206.

To celebrate the successful launch of the debut “10 for 10” title, Legend of the Shadow Clan, Aspen is making a special Emerald City variant for the second issue. The Legend of the Shadow Clan #2 Emerald City Comicon 2013 exclusive cover is fully illustrated by Seattle native Siya Oum and is limited to only 200 copies. Oum and Legend of the Shadow Clan creator Wohl will be at the Aspen Booth all weekend long to sign copies of this limited exclusive.

In addition to all new editions of their industry-leading art prints for the con, Aspen will also be unveiling their second offering in their Aspen Tour Print 2013 Anniversary Edition series by Michael Turner and Peter Steigerwald, which debuted earlier this year in Arizona to sold-out success. The Aspen Tour Print Anniversary Edition is limited to 125 editions. Aspen encourages fans to arrive early to ensure their print edition of this highly limited product. Aspen will also be offering two new Legend of the Shadow Clan prints by J. Scott Campbell and Cory Smith, respectively. The publisher will also feature an all new print featuring popular characters Aspen and Grace by Michael Turner and Peter Seigerwald, limited to 125 editions.
