Vault Comics and Inanna Sarkis Announce an Inanna: The Name She Lost Series

Vault and writer, director, and actress, Inanna Sarkis, have announced a Inanna: The Name She Lost single issue comic book series. Sarkis is joined by Eisner-nominated and New York Times bestselling writer Tim Seeley, and the phenomenal artist Ademir Leal to tell a modern reimagining of the story of the ancient Sumerian goddess of love and war.

Inanna: The Name She Lost #1 will hit store shelves in November, 2026. The debut issue will feature a stellar lineup of collectible variant covers from an epic lineup of artists including Tula Lotay, Annie Wu, Serena Bell, Meredith McClaren, Adriana Melo, Seth Adams, and series artist Ademir Leal.

The story begins in San Francisco, once the heart of a counterculture movement of peace and love, now a city at war with itself. Mayor and presidential hopeful Tim Teller promises to fix the problems, but he has a new issue. On a brisk September evening, Inanna emerges from the Bay, wearing nothing but a lapis necklace. She remembers little more than her name… and a deep sense of rage. Possessed of immense strength and unwavering charisma, Inanna becomes a champion of the people. But her immortal life as a goddess of love and war is coming back to haunt her. Ancient enemies and modern mythic forces collide as love and war clash in a battle for the soul of humanity—and Inanna herself.

SDCC 2026: Legendary Detective Rip Kirby returns from Christopher Sebela, Tango, and Mad Cave

Following a first look during San Diego Comic-ConMad Cave Studios and King Features have revealed the return of Rip Kirby. One of the most influential detectives in comics history, Rip Kirby will star in an all-new series that honors the sharp wit, sophistication, and timeless appeal that made the character a legend.

Written by two-time Eisner Award nominee Christopher Sebela, illustrated by Tango, colored by KJ Diaz, and lettered by Jeff EckleberryRip Kirby delivers a fresh mystery built on one of comics’ most enduring foundations.

War hero. Star athlete. Brilliant scientist. Savvy private investigator. Rip Kirby’s reputation is long secured, and these days he’s enjoying the post-war boom of New York City. With gorgeous and quick-witted Honey Dorian at his side and reformed criminal valet Desmond running the show, it’s a perfect life and perfectly balanced. It’s been perfect for what seems like forever… But Rip’s world is about to get complicated, and his unflappably decent ways are newly tested. Up against a world that seems to be growing too fast, can an upstanding man of morals and fair play like Rip remain himself, or will he be swallowed up by the ugliness?

In 1946, co-creators Alex Raymond and Ward Greene introduced Rip Kirby, a detective who stood apart from the hard-boiled heroes of the era. Solving cases through intelligence, scientific reasoning, and careful observation rather than brute force, Kirby helped redefine crime fiction and left an enduring mark on newspaper strips for generations to come.

The debut issue by Sebela and Tango goes on sale November 4, 2026, with a Final Order Cutoff of October 12, 2026Rip Kirby #1 will be available with Cover A by Annie Wu, plus a Cover B, Cover C, Cover D, a foil edition, and a blank sketch cover—with more details on the way soon.

Odin invites readers into a Dark World by James Tynion IV, Marguerite Bennett, and Letizia Cadonici. Get an early look!

An advance preview of Odin invites readers to step into the dark world of the original limited series co-created by five-time Eisner Award-winning writer James Tynion IV, bestselling writer Marguerite Bennett, and fan-favorite artist Letizia Cadonici. The nine-issue series, produced by Tynion’s production house Tiny Onion and published by Image Comics, follows an undercover journalist reporting on a group of deluded Neo-Nazis foolishly seeking glory and instead facing the wrath of Norse gods. Green Room meets Midsommar with a touch of The Ritual in this relentless, no-holds-barred horror story.

The new preview, sharing the beginning of Odin #1, starts with a visual punch: Odin disemboweled and disfigured, hangs from a tree, being pecked by a group of crows. The next pages offer a glimpse into the journey of journalist Adela, showing her infiltration of a Neo-Nazi punk band who are following a skin map to what they believe to be their promised land where they can rise to full white supremacist power. The series will follow in the frozen footsteps of thrill-seeking Adela as she ventures into the Norwegian forest with the Neo Nazi punks. But what awaits them in the woods is far older and stranger than any of them can comprehend, and no gods are coming to answer their prayers.

Debuting this May, Odin features hallucinogenic colors by Eisner Award winner Jordie Bellaire and sharp letters by the acclaimed Tom Napolitano. The series is cleverly designed by Dylan Todd and edited by horror pros Steve Foxe and Eric Harburn.

Odin will have gorgeous main covers by celebrated comic and album artist Alex Eckman-Lawn, who is illustrating Cover A for the full series. The series will also spotlight variants by series artist Cadonici and all-star artists like Christian Ward, Martin Simmonds, Jae Lee, Annie Wu, Tula Lotay, Sam Wolfe Connelly, Wes Craig, and more.

From safety pins to zine-style slogans, these comic book covers channel the raw energy, DIY spirit, and anti-establishment ethos of punk rock, all while celebrating the enduring power of Superman, Supergirl, and their allies to stand up, speak out, and fight for what’s right. Kindness is the new punk rock!

  • Superman Unlimited #9 – Mike Allred goes full anarcho-pop, plastering Superman over a giant anarchy symbol surrounded by safety pins, torn textures, and retro rebellion.
  • Supergirl #9 – Marguerite Sauvage paints Kara Zor-El as a punk heroine: fierce, stylish, and ready to break the mold.
  • Batman/Superman: World’s Finest #47 – Fabrizio De Tommaso captures the duo looking like they just stepped out of a gig and into a showdown.
  • Justice League Unlimited #15 – Dan Hipp transforms Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman into punk rock icons in his signature vibrant style: patched jackets, wild hair, and all the attitude you can handle.
