Boruto: Naruto Next Generations

VIZ Media hosts a weekend of panel events and autograph sessions at Emerald City Comic Con 2019, which takes place March 14th-17th at the Washington State Convention Center in Seattle, WA.

This year at ECCC, VIZ Media welcomes special voice actor guests Amanda Miller of Boruto: Naruto Next Generations (Boruto) and One-Punch Man’s Zac Aguilar (Genos). Both Amanda Miller and Zac Aguilar will participate on VIZ Media panels as well as special signing sessions.

Alleged Las Vegas Shooters as the Joker and Harley Quinn

The two suspects in Sunday’s shooting spree in Las Vegas that claimed the lives of two police officers and a shopper have been identified as Jerad and Amanda Miller.

The two were extreme “pro-gun and anti-government views on their Facebook pages and who had spent time at the ranch of Cliven Bundy.”

As we learn more about the two, whats stuck out to me is the iconography of the Joker, as posts to Jerad’s Facebook page,  but even the two dressed up as the Joker and Harley Quinn.

The Joker was also the comic book character James Holmes clung to when he shot up a movie theater in Aurora, Colorado in 2012.

Are we seeing the DC Comics character appropriated like the V for Vendetta mask as an icon for deranged individuals?
