Take Your Dice to the Next Level with the Levitate Dice Kickstarter

Conflict Games is following up their string of wildly successful Card Kickstarters with a new campaign, this time bringing a new pop culture innovation to market with Levitating Dice. The Levitate Dice Kickstarter campaign gives players a unique way to spice up their gaming tables with a novel piece of magical décor.

The initial Kickstarter offers an electromagnetic base with an accompanying d20 or a complete set 7 polyhedral dice. Each die has magnetic inclusions that, when placed on the base, hover in the air over the base. There are four different base styles: Black, White, Walnut, and Oak. Initially, there are four dice designs to choose from: Abyssinian Brass (brushed brass dice with black ink), The War Blade (dark grey dice with white ink), Quintessential Red (reflective red dice with white ink), and Rainbow Touched (pearlescent dice with gold inking).Conflict Games hopes the Levitate Dice will become a must-have for pop-culture collectors and tabletop role-players worldwide. They are a novel addition to TTRPG and dice collecting and add a little panache and the X factor to the room and game night.

To make these dice happen, Conflict Games has initiated a Kickstarter drive. The “Levitate Dice Kickstarter” runs from March 21 to April 21 for an intended release in the early fourth quarter of 2022. The project will be available worldwide. Funding gathered through Kickstarter will go toward additional design, engineering, manufacturing, and distribution of the dice. This is Conflict Games 5th Kickstarter. The previous four raised in excess of $250,000.

Sirius Dice Launches Charity Dice Series. The Inaugural Set Focuses on Cancer Awareness

Cancer Awareness Dice set

Sirius Dice, distributed to local game stores through Alliance Game Distributors, is launching a new, limited edition Charity Dice Series today, March 3. The Series was created to build awareness for small charities and the incredible work they do. The inaugural dice set will focus on cancer awareness and will raise money for SURVIVEiT, an innovative non-profit organization that empowers those facing cancer to define their journey and face cancer on their own terms.

Founded in 2019 by Lax Chandra and Tina Trenkler, Sirius Dice aims to bring high quality dice and gaming accessories to tabletop gamers everywhere. Their focus is to support local games retailers by offering unique merchandising and display opportunities. The Charity Dice Program offers specially designed dice sets as a way to build awareness and raise money, with twenty percent of the proceeds going to partner charities. “When we learned that Sirius Dice was launching the Charity Dice Program, we wanted to do our part to help bring the gaming community together in support of the initiative,” said Charlie Tyson, President of Alliance Game Distributors, “We are proud to partner with Sirius Dice to help get the word out.”

The inaugural Cancer Awareness Dice Set was inspired by Trenkler’s experience battling Stage 3 colorectal cancer and her desire to help others going through their own cancer experiences.

This particular, limited-edition set features one of the most unique designs Sirius has ever released. While typical dice sets may feature a specific color theme, the Cancer Awareness Dice set was purposely designed multi-colored, united by the theme of awareness for all types of cancers. Each tube contains a unique, randomized assortment of dice colors, with each clear resin die containing floating cancer ribbons in one of 24 ribbon and ink colors, along with a ribbon symbol on the D20.

Proceeds from sales of this dice set will go to SURVIVEiT, a cancer patient advocate that recently launched the world’s first interactive Cancer Navigation Tool.

Gamers and those interested in supporting the cause can purchase the Charity Dice Series set at their local games store starting today. Charity Dice Series sets are denoted by a fuchsia cap on the packaging. Sirius Dice will be announcing three additional sets in the Charity Series later this year.

Game Theory Tables Launches The Origins on Kickstarter

Game Theory Tables might be a new company but it’s the same team that operates BBO Poker Tables, a prominent poker table brand in the US for the past 15 years. They’re now moving into other types of games with The Origins, a new entry in the game table space.

The Origins is currently being funded through Kickstarter and is available in the US, Canada, EU, and UK.

The table measures 72″ x 48″ x 32″ with a playing surface of 61″ x 37″ in a recessed space of 4″. It can set up to 8 and can be used as a game table and “dining table” with the additional top that needs to be added on for $499.

The table comes with a neoprene mat and the table itself features a choice of colors. The Origins table is made from solid ash wood.

The Kickstarter also features exclusive add-ons like a dice tower and tiered tray.

Each item is discounted with the table being 35% off and also features free shipping in the US.

With an established company behind it, this game table company might be the mass market breakthrough that’s been looking for someone to fill it. There have been some busts of projects by other companies in the space so here’s rolling the dice this one comes through.

The table is available in two waves, with the first expected to ship in August 2021.

You can back the table for $1,499 and the campaign ends on February 19 at 11pm. It’s already been funded so it’s a guarantee to make it that far.

The SquareOne Console Launches On Kickstarter With Urban Rivals and Cthulhu Wars Licenses

Wizama has launched their Kickstarter campaign for SquareOne, the latest gaming console to blend board games and video games. To coincide with the launch, the company has also announced exciting licensing deals with Urban Rivals and Cthulhu Wars as both games will be featured on the system. SquareOne is available now for the next four weeks.

Urban Rivals and Cthulhu Wars are hugely popular games with extremely strong followings within two very distinct sectors of gaming. Urban Rivals is a fan favorite, multiplayer, virtual trading card game. Now for the first time, Urban Rivals, the virtual card game will transform into a board game through the SquareOne system. Cthulhu Wars is a fast-moving RPG strategy board game about the end of the world that features monster figures. With SquareOne, Cthulhu Wars will now look, feel, and play more like a video game, offering a new and unique immersive experience. These are just a few examples of the diverse games SquareOne has to offer and the potential that the console is bringing to the market.

In addition to this, the SquareOne console includes original creations with authors and studios such as Crystal Bay (Roberto Fraga), Broken Thread (Thomas Russier), and Element Fight (EODE Studio). Wizama also has its very own studio dedicated to developing new and exciting games in-house. The system even offers games on demand, where players have access to a large selection of all types of games available directly on the SquareOne console. Furthermore, SquareOne comes with 15 traditional board games and dice games fit for the whole family.

Wizama plans to cater to all ages whether that be sharing a game with your kids or competing with your best group of friends. The console will provide a range of games that are perfect for large gatherings. The SquareOne system is inspired by traditional board games while also infusing the perfect amount of the video game experience. SquareOne is the first of its kind and allows you to experience your favorite games like never before.

Unlike other gaming consoles, it doesn’t require additional devices like a TV or computer to play and you don’t need game disks, smartphones, or additional applications to play either. Making it super convenient to play with your kids or friends around the same table. The product, which was first unveiled last year, also won multiple awards including, the CES Innovation Awards 2019 in “Gaming”.

The board’s surface is a large touchable screen with movable borders that increases the playing area depending on the game. The game board sits vertically, which allows for players to experience virtual gameplay while also enforcing the human connection of traditional board games. Watch each board game come alive with the built-in touch screen, and its connected objects including cards, dice, figurines and the world’s first connected dice track that enable players to both physically and digitally interact.

Users can also accessorize the smartboard, with the overall border of the device being fully customizable. You also have the option to save games and resume your play whenever you please. To become completely immersed, the SquareOne board includes high-quality audio speakers for sound and music during playtime. Furthermore, you will be able to play together remotely with your favorite game partners wherever they are.
