The story of a nameless father and son trying to survive with their humanity intact in a postapocalyptic wasteland where Earth’s natural resources have been diminished, and some survivors are left to raise others for meat, The Road is one of Cormac McCarthy’s bleakest and most prescient novels. This first official graphic novel adaptation of McCarthy’s work is illustrated by acclaimed French cartoonist Manu Larcenet, who ably transforms the world depicted by McCarthy’s spare and brutal prose into stark ink drawings that add an additional layer to this haunting tale of family love and human perseverance. Cormac McCarthy personally approved the making of this book before his death, and the adaptation bears the approval of the McCarthy estate.

Joshua Williamson Announces Additional Signing Tour Stops for G.I. JOE #1

Skybound, Image Comics, and Hasbro have announced comic book shop signings for acclaimed writer Joshua Williamson, in support of his upcoming G.I. JOE #1 launch this November. From the chart-topping, critically acclaimed creative team of writer Williamson, artist Tom Reilly, and colorist Jordie Bellaire, G.I. JOE #1 hits comic book shops on November 13, 2024.  

On the heels of the recent announcement of a signing at Things from Another World at Universal CityWalk Hollywood, paired with an exclusive Skybound Insiders screening of G.I. JOE: The Movie (1987) and Q&A, Williamson will be making additional signing stops at Collector’s Paradise in Los Angeles and Third Eye Comics in Annapolis on November 14 and 16, respectively.
