Capes Must Rally to Save the World in Capes #12

Skybound and Image Comics have shared a first look at Capes #12, from writer Benito Cereno, artist Mark Englert, colorist John Rauch, and letterer Rus Wooton. Capes #12 takes readers – and the heroes of Capes, Inc. – further into the most unexpected corner of the Invincible Universe. Capes #12 will hit comic book shops on October 28, 2026, bringing the current arc to its dramatic finale while opening the door to the next chapter of Capes. 

It’s up to Bolt and Superball to rally CAPES and save the world from the power of the medallion. As new monstrosities surface, can they defeat them all?   

Plus, Invincible co-creators Robert Kirkman and Cory Walker, alongside colorist Annalisa Leoni conclude Ella Mental’s first solo adventure!  

Capes #12 features a lineup of covers including a main cover by Mark Englert, and additional open-to-order covers by Conor Hughes, Gleb Melnikov, Ito, and Sweeney Boo.  

Capes #12 (Lunar Codes Below | $3.99) will be available at comic book shops and digital platforms including Amazon Kindle, Apple Books, and Google Play on Wednesday, October 28, 2026.

NYCC 2026: Jim Zub and Alberto J. Alburquerque Unleash the Dark Fantasy Omen-Bound in March 2027

After heading up fan favorite runs on Conan the Barbarian and Dungeons & Dragons, writer Jim Zub teams up with acclaimed artist Alberto J. Alburquerque to launch the dark fantasy, Omen-Bound. The ongoing series is set to launch in March 2027 from Image Comics.

Omen-Bound will see a steady stream of promotion that begins at this year’s New York Comic Con with a limited run of black and white Omen-Bound preview editions available to readers interested in a first look at the core cast of characters and perilous world of The Untaken Lands. The limited Omen-Bound Preview Edition will be available on a first come, first served basis at Artist Alley tables I-33 and A-33.

In Omen-Bound, a skilled group of warriors and priests from a strict religious order must escort a dangerous supernatural prisoner back to their realm beyond reality, but each step closer to that goal will test them in ways they never imagined and reveal secrets about themselves and the history of their world that may save or damn them all. The story blends classic sword & sorcery elements with the intense emotional stakes of comics like The Walking Dead. It is a perfect read for longtime fantasy fans and new readers alike, with soaring artwork that follows a fated journey filled with epic action and unexpected twists.

Omen-Bound #1 will be available at comic book shops in March 2027.

The Last Driver #2 Speeds Off into a Second Printing

The Last Driver #2 by superstar creator Sean Gordon Murphy is bumper-to-bumper with issue #1 demand and has sold out completely at the distributor level. Image Comics will fast-track this popular follow up issue for reprint this week in order to keep up with the breakneck speed of reorder activity.

The Last Driver #2, second printing will feature new cover art paying homage to retro Nintendo games.

An enemy from the past speeds into this high octane race in the future! What’s a driver without a car? In trouble, that’s what. After demolishing their ride evading the eCops, Clutch and Cuda are on foot as Cuda’s health gets worse. Then, things shift into a new gear when Kowalski calls in a villain from Clutch’s past: The man known as Firebird!

The Last Driver #2, 2nd printing will be available at comic book shops on Wednesday, October 28.
