Wednesdays are new comic book day! Each week hundreds of comics are released, and that can be pretty daunting to go over and choose what to buy. That’s where we come in

A Ghost Arm Made Of Angry Ghosts (Oni Press) – A weird tale of conspiracy, faded superheroics, and suburban angst in ’90s Washington, D.C.

Archie #1 (Oni Press) – The classic teenagers kick off a new era courtesy of some impressive creators and now published by Oni!

Batman/Superman/Weird Al World’s Weirdest #1 (DC Comics) – Weird Al in a comic? Yeah, we’re all in for this!

Billy Bat Volume 2 (Kana) – The first volume was amazing as a manga artist attempts to figure out if he plagiarized his most famous creation.

Crowbound #1 (Image Comics) – An oppressive society has a mother fighting to get her daughter back. Check out our early review.

Dirt Beneath The Devil #2 (Mad Cave Studios) – The first issue was a fantastic western murder mystery.

Doom Patrol #1 (DC Comics) – The concept of hired heroes for this team sounds interesting and we’re hoping this is one that delivers action, laughs, and weirdness.

Escape #9 (Image Comics) – Each issue has been amazing and packed with action! We have no idea where this war comic is going.

Hellraiser Resurrections: New Wounds #1 (BOOM! Studios) – Will it make us tweak out like the movies?

Kaiju No. 8 Volume 16 (VIZ Media) – The fantastic manga series wraps up here! This has been a great take on the kaiju concept with fantastic art and we’re excited, and sad, to see how it wraps up!

Legion Of Super-Heroes #1 (DC Comics) – The beloved group has had a bumpy ride in recent years so we’re intrigued to see how this new series does and ties into what DC is currently doing.

Marvel Dimensions (Abrams) – Alex Ross dives into Marvel history in this original graphic novel.

No Gods No Masters #1 (BOOM! Studios) – When afternoon detention is interrupted by the sudden and violent emergence of a kaiju, three New York City teenagers with seemingly nothing in common will band together to survive the apocalypse!

On Their Frontlines: The Lives Of Japanese War Brides Volume 1 (Takumigraphics) – After Japan lost the War, the country was thrown into devastation. No one felt this devastation as much as Japanese women, who, left with few paths to choose from, took low-wage jobs, fell into sex work, and wed American G.I.s. In their affecting graphic novel debut, Marina Lisa Komiya follows the lives of two Japanese women and the American soldiers they marry in this tumultuous time period.

Superman: The Stranger #11 (DC Comics/DC Black Label) – The early Superman stories were very different than today’s and we’re interested in seeing how much this miniseries leans into that.

Supernatural: Wayward Special #1 (Dynamite Entertainment) – The brothers split up for adventures on their own!

Tales Of Wonder #1 (Image Comics) – Two legendary comic creators have reunited to launch the America’s Freedom Force cinematic universe, only to discover the make-believe superheroes and monsters from their stories are very, very real.

Teen Titans #11 (DC Comics) – A new Teen Titans led by the Red Hood? You have our attention!

Warbird #1 (Bad Idea) – The zero issue that came out was pretty solid and the concept of a repo man who focuses on highly valuable things is interesting and different.
