Collin Evan Fogel has been charged with luring a minor for sexual conduct and online sexual corruption of a minor in the second degree. The 47-year-old Fogel met a Bend, Oregon police officer who was posing as a teen. The arrest is connected to a July 31 incident.

On July 31, an incident was reported to the Bend police that Fogel had asked a 16-year-old girl at a neighborhood pool for her phone number stating that he wanted her to babysit his child. Fogel then began texting the girl messages unrelated to babysitting and made her uncomfortable.

The police then posed as the teen girl texting with Fogel who believed he was still texting with the girl. He sent multiple sexually explicit messages and images.

Police then posed as the girl to meet Fogel at a parking lot where he was arrested under suspicion of luring and online sexual corruption of minor.

Fogel was booked into Deschutes County Jail and is awaiting his pending arraignment.

While the news hasn’t mentioned the career or too many details about Fogel, the comic creator is listed as living in Bend, Oregon on his LinkedIn profile as well as by the talent management company that has him listed as a client. Based on his linked in profile, he also started college at a time that the age of the individual arrested would match with the one listed in arrest reports.

Fogel has released multiple comics. He’s the artist on the first volume of Snowlands which was released by Graphix/Scholastic this year. He was also the artist on Offworld which was released by Antarctic Press. He also was an artist on the indie comic In Sanity, AZ released in 2013.
