The County College of Morris has scored a big one in the comic community as the Joe Kubert School of Cartoon and Graphic Art will be moving there and begin operations in the fall semester. Located in Dover for many years, the Kubert School moved to downtown Madison last year. County College of Morris is located in Randolph, New Jersey.

A formal signing event will be held on County College of Morris campus on August 17.

The Kubert School is a well-renowned school that has launched numerous careers in the visual arts covering illustrators, animators, cartoonists, and comic creators. Around for five decades, it has built up a reputation and connections that has made it one to watch for the next generation of talent.

The move will allow the Kubert School to combine its specialized education with County College of Morris’ resources creating even more resources for its students.

It also brings numerous services to the Kubert School’s students including tutoring, academic and career advising, transfer services, and a veteran’s resource center, as well as the campus facilities like its library and fitness center.

The Kubert School was launched in 1976 and moved to Dover in 1980. It began as a two-year school and programs were extended to three years in 1978. The school relocated to the James Building in downtown Madison last year. Operations officially began on the Randolph campus on July 18 with KubieCon. that annual event lures artists and fans to a show featuring comic vendors and artists to celebrate all things comics.
