Graphic Policy’s Top Comic Picks this Week!

The Ring: The Man Who Beat the Man

Wednesdays are new comic book day! Each week hundreds of comics are released, and that can be pretty daunting to go over and choose what to buy. That’s where we come in

Each week our contributors choose what they can’t wait to read this week or just sounds interesting. In other words, this is what we’re looking forward to and think you should be taking a look at!

Find think below, and what comics you should be looking out for

Deadman #1 (DC Comics) – DC’s next Next Level release is an intriguing one with Deadman which has potential to add a little horror vibe to DC’s line-up. With a solid creative team this could be another release to give us something a bit different than the usual superhero entertainment.

Estuary A Ghost Story #3 (Oni Press) – Just some solid horror.

Event Horizon Inferno #2 (IDW Dark/IDW Publishing) – This latest Event Horizon series is interesting as it has the usual horror aspects but dives straight into what’s going on and has a more video game survival thing going on. It’s Aliens to the original film’s Alien.

Jungle #4 (Uncivilized Books) – The series is an under-the-radar gem focusing on a biker gang behind bars in prison in a world where everyone are monkeys/apes.

Junk Punch #1 (Mad Cave Studios) – In a near-future world, peculiar new compulsions have arisen to afflict individuals in bizarre ways, such as a need to paint all pigeons pink or the unfortunate craving to tell the truth on dating apps. One such individual is Clara Castanelle, aka Junk Punch, who “suffers” an addiction to punching people square in their junk!

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers (2026) #1 (BOOM! Studios) – The classic property gets a new start! We’re excited to check it out and see what might be different and stand out from the new series.

Only The Savage Are Left #1 (Dark Horse) – The series is a new spin on the apocalyptic tale involving a virus but it’s more about a young man who’s a pacifist trying to survive in the current landscape.

Ring The Man Who Beat The Man #1 (Dark Horse) – A comic series about boxing? We’re definitely checking this out.

Transformers The Movie 40th Anniversary Edition #1 (Skybound/Image Comics) – Relive your childhood trauma!
