Wednesdays are new comic book day! Each week hundreds of comics are released, and that can be pretty daunting to go over and choose what to buy. That’s where we come in
Each week our contributors choose what they can’t wait to read this week or just sounds interesting. In other words, this is what we’re looking forward to and think you should be taking a look at!
Find think below, and what comics you should be looking out for
Absolute Batman #14 (DC Comics) – The series has been fantastic with an interesting new take on Batman, Gotham, and his various rogues. The battle with Bane might end here? We’re excited to find out!
Arcadia #1 (Ignition Press) – The Miranda brothers’ debut with Ignition Press. The duo have put out some amazing comics in the past and Ignition Press has been on a great run of debuts, so we’re excited to see what this pairing can do.
Dead Head #1 (Iron Ace) – Follow along as Dead Head’s thirst for revenge leads him through dozens of slashers to the one and only Mauler Mason – a legendary killer who’s murdered thousands!
Devil On My Shoulder #1 (Dark Horse) – The team behind Where Monsters Lie have a new series. Something terrible has happened. For forty days she was tortured by five men and left for dead — but she will get her revenge on each and every one of them. And it will be bloody. An event that takes her on a strange and violent supernatural path of payback through bizarre encounters with ex-hitmen, sadistic art enthusiasts, and literal devils.
Escape #4 (Image Comics) – The war series has been great with a focus on a survivor of a crash behind enemy lines focused on completing the mission. Mix that with some amazing art and it’s one that shouldn’t be missed.
Feral #18 (Image Comics) – The previous issue delivered a solid twist and direction and we’re excited to see where it all goes.
Galactic #1 (DSTLRY) – An ultraviolent interstellar romance that tells the story of a roguish bounty hunter hired to bring back a Princess on a death-bender on a hippy planet, and inadvertently find themselves caught in the crossfire of an intergalactic war.
Infernal Hulk #1 (Marvel) – The Hulk has been possessed in what sounds like an awesome next chapter for the classic character that continues to explore the character’s horror roots.
The Jungle #2 (Uncivilized Books) – The series has some great art and solid storytelling as it focuses in on a gang locked up behind bars.
Killer: Affairs Of The State II #6 (BOOM! Studios) – The series has been solid as The Killer has been tasked with taking out a pedophile ring packed with the rich and powerful and questions why it takes money and influence to get justice?
Skinbreaker #3 (Skybound) – David Finch’s art along makes this one to check out!
Supernatural #2 (Dynamite) – The first issue was fantastic as the Winchester brothers returned to comics. It was a lot of fun and we’re hoping for more!
Survive #3 (Bad Idea) – A sub has had catastrophic damage done to it, possibly by an American spy and all that remain alive on it is that spy and one Russian crew member. Will they kill each other? Will either escape? The series is fantastic with lots of tension and action.
