Wednesdays are new comic book day! Each week hundreds of comics are released, and that can be pretty daunting to go over and choose what to buy. That’s where we come in

Each week our contributors choose what they can’t wait to read this week or just sounds interesting. In other words, this is what we’re looking forward to and think you should be taking a look at!

Find think below, and what comics you should be looking out for

Absolute Flash #7 (DC Comics) – The series is an interesting new take on the classic character and it’s exciting to see how each issue reinterprets the concept.

Exquisite Corpses #5 (Image Comics) – The series has been great as hired killers are thrown into a town to battle it out on behalf of shadowy families that really run America.

Flow #1 (Mad Cave Studios) – A young woman gets her period and is tortured by her bunkmates at camp. Years later, those tormentors are cursed and need to track down the likely source, the girl they tormented.

Good As Dead #1 (Image Comics) – Sheriff David Calhoun will need to stay one step ahead of the forces looking to take his town apart. If he has any chance of bringing the truth to light, he’ll need to expose generations of secrets while outrunning death itself. Well then.

Killer: Affairs Of The State II #4 (BOOM! Studios/Archaia) – The series follows a hired hitman and this one has him questioning is motivations and what justice truly is in the world.

Krypto: The Last Dog Of Krypton #4 (DC Comics) – The series consistently has tugged at heart strings and we expect no less from this issue.

Lucas Wars (23rd Street) – The history behind the creation of Star Wars: A New Hope. It’ll be interesting to see what’s covered here and how much of a warts and all take it is.

Magic: The Gathering – Untold Stories Elspeth #1 (Dark Horse) – Based on the response to the preview we posted, this series is going to be a hot one. The classic card game gets a new publisher and new direction.

Marvel Zombies: Red Band #1 (Marvel) – This could go a whole bunch of ways and we’re intrigued to see how “Red Band” it gets.

Marvel/DC Deadpool/Batman #1 (Marvel) – Marvel and DC are teaming up after decades. That alone makes this one to check out.

No Man’s Land #1 (Image Comics) – A natural bridge between Russia and the US opens up every so often, so what happens when a body is found on it?

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Casey Jones #1 (IDW Publishing) – The main TMNT comic has been fantastic so we’re excited to see how this spin-off does, building off of the excitement and excellence of the main series.

Voyeur #1 (Ignition Press) – The series sounds like it’s about an art thief but with a title like that, we’re expecting some sexiness. Ignition Press’ first release, Murder Podcast, was a solid debut and we have high expectations for this one.

Wild West C.O.W.-Boys Of Moo Mesa #1 (ONI Press) – The classic animated series comes to comics!
