Zombie Hordes Overrun a War-Ravaged Vietnam in ’68 Compendium this October

The zombies are back in the razorwire with the locked-and-loaded release of the complete ’68 Compendium by Mark Kidwell, Nat Jones, and Jay Fotos—a blood-soaked monster of a paperback collecting all 30 issues of Vietnam jungle-scorched mayhem. Image Comics drops the payload this October—just in time for Halloween.

On February 13, 1968, during the darkest days of the Vietnam War, the gates of Hell opened wide, unleashing new and hungry life into the countless war-torn dead. Junkyard Joe meets The Walking Dead in this military-horror mashup.

From the original ’68 one-shot, to the first four-issue miniseries, the introduction and first appearance of the legendary “Jungle Jim” and beyond, ’68 Compendium is the definitive ’68 collection and offers up every red, dripping bit. The entire series, the one-shots, and the short backup stories, are all included in full jaw-snapping, flesh-rending color. Fans should get “small” in their foxhole and keep their powder dry.

’68 Compendium paperback (ISBN: 9781534332126, Lunar Code 0825IM0456) will be available at local comic book shops on Wednesday, October 8 and independent bookstores, BookshopAmazon, Barnes & Noble, Books-a-Million, Indigo, and Waterstones on Tuesday, October 21.
