Graphic Policy’s Top Comic Picks this Week!

The Umbrella Academy: Plan B #2

Wednesdays are new comic book day! Each week hundreds of comics are released, and that can be pretty daunting to go over and choose what to buy. That’s where we come in

Each week our contributors choose what they can’t wait to read this week or just sounds interesting. In other words, this is what we’re looking forward to and think you should be taking a look at!

Find think below, and what comics you should be looking out for

A Business Proposal Vol. 10 (IZE Press) – The series wraps up with this volume and we absolute love this rom-com that has us gushing with each release.

Absolute Batman #11 (DC Comics) – We really want to know what’s up with this version of Bane.

Big Rig #2 (Vault Comics) – It’s Army of Darkness with a truck instead of a shotgun.

Drome (23rd Street) – It’s difficult to describe the graphic novel beyond it’s a battle of order and chaos with gods involved in a fantasy world. With a minimal amount of words, it’s one of the best graphic novels this year.

Eat Your Young #1 (Mad Cave Studios) – A 2,000 year old Immortal Warlord decides he’s done and names his six year old daughter as the next Alpha of the immortal clan. Every hundred years, during a brutal 27-day window known as The Centurium, his children have one chance to rip out his heart and claim the throne.

Escape #1 (Image Comics) – A pilot is shot down behind enemy lines and needs to get out of the area before it’s completely annihilated by more bombs.

Event Horizon: Dark Descent #1 (IDW Publishing) – The movie tweaks us to this day. The comic gave us flashbacks to that. Solid horror and a return to the Event Horizon.

Exquisite Corpses #4 (Image Comics) – It’s a mix of a whole lot of different concepts like Battle Royale, The Purge, fighting video games, all with a great flair and fun psychos upping the body count.

G.I. Joe #10 (Skybound) – The series has been great with a solid take on the classic property with a nice update that finally ties in Transformers and so much more.

Imperial #3 (Marvel) – The event that shakes Marvel’s cosmos has been excellent so far and this issue reveals who’s behind it… and it’s probably not who you think.

Justice League Red #1 (DC Comics) – It’s a new spec-ops team that’s off the radar. We’re want to see how this fits into everything.

Rooster Fighter Vol. 8 (VIZ Media) – Really the title says it all and it’s not much more than a Rooster than knows martial arts and fights demons.

Solo Leveling Vol. 13 (IZE Press) – The series is nearing the end and we want to see how it ratchets up with action. Such a great fantasy series that gets better and more epic with each volume.

The Umbrella Academy Plan B #2 (Dark Horse) – The first issue was a welcome return and we’re excited to see what the rest of the series brings.
