Each week our contributors choose what they can’t wait to read this week or just sounds interesting. In other words, this is what we’re looking forward to and think you should be taking a look at!
Find think below, and what comics you should be looking out for
Godzilla Vs. Spider-Man #1 (Marvel) – It’s Spider-Man taking on Godzilla. Grab the popcorn and enjoy.
Heavy Metal Magazine #1 (Heavy Metal) – Heavy Metal is back! Let’s see if the magic’s still there.
Kill Train #4 (Mad Cave Studios) – B-movie excitement at its best. A group of average individuals need to get off a train which is filled will killers. A crazy concept that totally works.
The Lemonade War (Clarion Books) – The popular book gets adapted as a graphic novel!
Lost Marvels Vol. 1 Tower Of Shadows (Fantagraphics) – A horror anthology from Marvel and published in 1969 gets collected. Neal Adams, Jim Steranko, Barry Windsor-Smith, John Buscema, Gene Colan, Wally Wood, Stan Lee, Roy Thomas, John Romita, Johnny Craig, Marie Severin, Gerry Conway, and Bernie Wrightson, and more are featured.
Planet Death #0 (Bad Idea) – Bad Idea is back in shops. After a bunch of Kickstarters and limited distribution, they’re now expanded and can be in every shop. This series looks like great sci-fi whose art reminds us of Warhammer 40K. That and the creative team has us pumped to check it out.
Power Company Recharged #1 (DC Comics) – Josiah Power and Jefferson Pierce lead the newest iteration of the Power Company with a new purpose of rebuilding humanity’s faith in heroes and fighting back against the rising anti-metahuman movement. We’re intrigued. We’re very intrigued.
Saint Catherine (23rd Street) – The debut from 23rd Street which is a new publisher we’ve been excited to see what they’re doing. The first release involves a religious girl who goes to services every week, then skips one and gets possessed by a demon.
The Slasher’s Apprentice #1 (Mad Cave Studios) – A horror-obsessed podcaster with a slasher villain fixation, is seeking a new career path: Helping her favorite legendary slasher, The Hopton Valley Killer, regain their long-lost notoriety while learning the ropes herself. Hells yes to this.
Void Rivals #18 (Skybound) – The series has become key and revealed a lot of Transformers history. We’re excited to check out the next reveal and what else we find out. At this point, we have no idea where this is going and how it ties into Transformers and G.I. JOE.
We’re Taking Everyone Down With Us #2 (Image Comics) – A young girl’s supervillain father is killed and she’s out for revenge.
