Graphic Policy’s Top Comic Picks this Week!
Wednesdays are new comic book day! Each week hundreds of comics are released, and that can be pretty daunting to go over and choose what to buy. That’s where we come in
Each week our contributors choose what they can’t wait to read this week or just sounds interesting. In other words, this is what we’re looking forward to and think you should be taking a look at!
Find think below, and what comics you should be looking out for
Absolute Martian Manhunter #2 (DC Comics) – The first issue was a trippy visual treat and we’re excited to see where the series goes from debut.
Amazing Spider-Man #2 (Marvel) – The debut issue was a lot of fun with solid visuals and Peter getting back to basics. The second issue keeps that up with Peter trying to function after being dosed with whatever was used on Rhino.
Arcana Royale #1 (Dark Horse) – A clandestine poker tournament where magicians, demons, and demigods gamble using a set of mysterious tarot-like cards? The games shape the fate of the world? Yeah, we’re all in.
Assorted Crisis Events #2 (Image Comics) – The first issue felt like it had everything thrown in as time and reality was mixed and remixed in a crazy story focused on a young women trying to just make a living. We have no idea what to expect for the second issue.
The Boxer Vol. 10 (VIZ Media) – The best comic on the shelf. We’re standing by that.
G.I. JOE #6 (Skybound/Image Comics) – The series has been solid with great action and a nice fresh take on the classic property.
One World Under Doom #3 (Marvel) – The event has been great so far and the third issue has the heroes teaming up with villains to figure out what to do next.
Predator vs. Spider-Man #1 (Marvel) – The concept is out there and we’re here for it. Grab the popcorn, sit back, and just enjoy it.
Out of Alcatraz #2 (ONI Press) – The debut issue gave us a solid crime/escape from prison story and we’re excited to see how the mess from the debut issue is dealt with and the teased revenge is handled.
