The Roeper School is an internationally recognized leader in gifted education that offers a highly individualized, inquiry-based program that focuses on the whole child while uniquely accommodating the complexity of gifted students.

One of its students was Dwayne McDuffie who attended as a child and said he “finally felt at home.”

The established McDuffie Genius Grant now funds incoming minority students to the lower school, as Dwayne himself had been and celebrates the beloved creative icon.
