Each week our contributors choose what they can’t wait to read this week or just sounds interesting. In other words, this is what we’re looking forward to and think you should be taking a look at!

Absolute Superman #2 (DC Comics) – The first issue was a fantastic new take on Superman with some classic elements and we’re excited to see what’s next.
All-New Venom #1 (Marvel) – We want to know who the new Venom is!
Archaic #1 (AHOY Comics) – A broke single mom desperate to protect her kids from vicious criminals trying to collect on her ex-husband’s debts. Following a mysterious message, Tess flees to the mysterious island of Demonde-a place of demons, legendary creatures, and a family secret that just might cost Tess her life.
Avengers #21 (Marvel) – Avengers vs. X-Men has our eyes rolling a bit but this will sow the seeds for something to come, so feels key.
DC’s Batman Smells, Robin Laid an Egg #1 (DC Comics) – With that title, how can we not read this?
Final Interview #1 (Scout Comics/Dark Harbor) – At global powerhouse LifeWay, Inc., four candidates for a mysterious promotion get pushed to their limits by a Rabbit-masked interviewer. Mind games and moral tests pit Tori, Hal, Iggy, and Brett against each other. By the end, one applicant is dead and the other three are prisoners, but even larger problems loom: the Red Door, a fanatical terrorist movement, has infiltrated LifeWay.
Flavor Girls: Return to the Mothership #1 (BOOM! Studios) – As Sara tries her best to keep up as the newest member of the team, the Flavor Girls embark on a journey to Okinawa to uncover the mysteries of an ancient civilization…
Juvenile #1 (Image Comics) – In the future, a deadly virus kills everyone upon reaching adulthood. Teenagers are confined to medical facilities, until a mysterious new patient arrives with a shocking secret. The virus ins’t killing adults, it’s giving them telekinetic abilities.
Long Cold Winter #1 (Mad Cave Studios) – In the not-too-distant future, the air on Earth has become unbreathable. However, a multinational company called Air Co. has constructed generators that provide oxygen for those who can afford it. Peace Dog, a desperate ex-soldier, who has been willing to do anything to obtain breathable air is haunted by his past and hunted by bounty hunters, though, he may have found a way out of his current predicament by helping a mysterious robot child escape the dangerous and congested city.
Two-Face #1 (DC Comics) – The recent Penguin series was great and we’re hoping this series is close to that quality.
ThunderCats: Apex #1 (Dynamite Entertainment) – Who is Apex? Find out!
The Ultimates #7 (Marvel) – Did that member really die? With this new world, it’s a possibility!
Whatever Happened to Frankie King (Graphic Mundi) – Frankie King was a precocious student and a promising basketball player at Brooklyn’s James Madison High School in the early 1950s. Sportswriters were comparing Frankie to the greatest college and professional players of all time, and he was recruited as a starting guard at the University of North Carolina. But Frankie dropped out before playing a single game. This graphic novel follows King’s enigmatic life from its auspicious start in the limelight to his very reclusive existence in New York City, where he authored more than forty novels.
