Graphic Policy’s Top Comic Picks this Week!
Wednesdays are new comic book day! Each week hundreds of comics are released, and that can be pretty daunting to go over and choose what to buy. That’s where we come in
Each week our contributors choose what they can’t wait to read this week or just sounds interesting. In other words, this is what we’re looking forward to and think you should be taking a look at!
Find think below, and what comics you should be looking out for
Batman and Robin: Year One #2 (DC Comics) – The first issue was absolutely amazing with Mark Waid and Chris Samnee teaming for an early adventure of Batman and Robin. Great storytelling and amazing art.
Dark Knights of Steel: Allwinter #5 (DC Comics/Elseworlds) – The storytelling has been amazing but the use of color is unreal. A fantastic fantasy series.
Milestone Universe: The Shadow Cabinet #1 (DC Comics/Milestone) – The return of the Milestone Universe has been a bit bumpy and silent for a bit now. This might kick off a resurgence?
Minor Arcana #3 (BOOM! Studios) – The first chapter of Jeff Lemire’s original series wraps up!
The Pedestrian #4 (Magma Comix) – The series is utterly bizarre but might be our favorite new hero of the year?
The Question: All Along the Watchtower #1 (DC Comics) – Who watches the watchtower? There’s a dark threat bubbling and the Question needs to figure out who the problem is before it’s too late.
Rocketfellers #1 (Image Comics/Ghost Machine) – Ghost Machine’s latest series feels a bit like the Fantastic Four and with Peter J. Tomasi and Francis Manapul behind it, we’re excited to see how similar they are!
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles x Naruto #1 (IDW Publishing) – There’s been some great crossover comics with the Turtles lately and this one was unexpected and we’re all in on it.
ThunderCats #10 (Dynamite) – A standalone issue from the perspective of the attacking Mu’Tants!
Ultimate Spider-Man #11 (Marvel) – The series has been great and though it’s going in a predictable nature, we’re here to see all of the drama and action.
Where Monsters Lie: Cull De Sac #2 (Dark Horse Comics) – The series is focused on where serial killers live when they’re not out during their thing and this sleepy community is going to be not so sleepy we think.
You Never Heard of Me #1 (Dark Horse Comics) – The ability to touch someone and see both the best and the worst moment of their life, be it past or future, means the ability to try to change things for the better. Such power can feel like a curse, especially if you’re a teenage seer who thinks he has enough problems. Read our early review!
